Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı fen öğretiminde grafik roman tarzında geliştirilen eğitim materyalinin öğrenci başarısına ve motivasyonuna etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma ön test- son test yarı deneysel desen kapsamında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın bağımsız değişkenleri grafik roman tarzı geliştirilen eğitim materyali ve Fen Bilimleri ders kitabıdır. Araştırmanın bağımlı değişkenleri ise öğrencilerin motivasyon ve akademik başarı düzeyleridir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Manisa'nın Demirci ilçesinde merkezde bulunan üç ilkokulda öğrenim gören 4. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma deney grubunda 30, kontrol grubunda 32 olmak üzere toplam 62 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama araçları olarak“Öğretim Materyalleri Motivasyon Ölçeği”, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen başarı testi ve öğrencilere ve öğretmenlere yönelik geliştirilen görüşme formları kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda grafik roman tarzı geliştirilen eğitim materyalinin öğrenci motivasyonunu ve akademik başarısını artırdığı bilgisine ulaşılmıştır. Grafik roman tarzı geliştirilen eğitim materyaline yönelik öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşleri olumlu yöndedir.

The aim of this study is to research the effect of the educational material developed graphic novel style on motivation and students' success in Science education. In this research, the quasi experimental design with pre-test-post-test and a control group was used. The independent variables are the educational material developed graphic novel style and Science course book. The dependent variables of the study are the level of students' motivation and success. The work group study consisted of the fourth grade classes studying in three central elementary schools in Demirci the distict of Manisa in the spring in 2015-2016 academic year. The research carried out with 62 students and the experimental group consisted of 30 students and the control group consisted of 32 students.“Instructional Materials Motivation Survey”, success test developed by researcher and interview forms developed by researcher for students and teachers was used as data collection tool of study. In this study, it was reached that graphic novel style materials are raised to students' motivation and academic success. The opinions of teachers and students about the educational material developed graphic novel style are positive.
