Özet
ÖZET Dünyanın olduğu gibi kalabilmesi için bir tek iyi insanın yeterli olacağına inanan tanrılar Wang' in yardımıyla Sezuan'ın küçük fahişesi Shen Te'yi bulurlar. Shen Te onlara yatacak yer sağlar ve karşılığında para alır. Bu parayla yoksullara yarım eder, zaten Tanrıların istediği budur. Ancak yoksullar Shen Te'yi sömürürler ve Shen Te amcaoğlu kılığına bürünerek onları dışarı atar. Shen Te'yi zengin bir berberle evlendirmek üzere polisle anlaşma yapar. Shu Fu'yu bulur. Evlenmeye giderken kendini asmaya çalışan uçman Sun'la karşılaşır ve ona aşık olur. Sun dükkanı ele geçirir ve yeniden batmasına sebep olur. Buna rağmen Shen Te Sun'la evlenmek ister. Ancak Sun'un gerçek yüzünü görüp ondan ayrılır ve Shui Ta olarak dükkanı idare etmeye başlar. Aynı zamanda Sun' dan çocuk beklemektedir. Shen Te'nin ortada görünmeyişi dikkat çeker ve dedikodulara neden olur. Sun'un ihbarı ile Shui Ta yargılanır. Yargıçlar kılık değiştirmiş tanrılardır. Shui Ta maskesini çıkarıp Shen Te olarak yaşamının zorluğunu anlatır. Tanrılar onu dinlemeden herşeyin yolunda olduğu söyleyip gözden kaybolurlar.

n SUMMARY The gods who believe that they can save the world from the terrible situation if there is only one good person find the little prostitute named Shen Te by the help of water seller Wang. Shen Te gives them a place to sleep and in return money as a present. Then she starts to help to the poor of the Sezuan by using this money. In fact that's what the gods wish from her. But the poor exploit her and she has to transform herself into her cousin by disguising herself with a male mask and clothes and then shows them the door. Now her name is Shui Ta. Shui Ta makes a deal with the policeman to marry her cousin Shen Te to a rich man and finds the barber Shu Fu. As Shen Te goes through the park to marry to Shu Fu, she sees the young unemployed pilot Sun trying to hang himself. She saves his life and falls in love with him. But Sun takes over the tobacco shop bought with the money given by the gods. And the shopgoes bankrupt again because of the Sun. In spite of this, Shen Te still loves and wants to marry him. But she understands that he only thinks about her money and his own business she gives up the idea of marrying and lets him go. She continues to manage the tobacco shop as Shui Ta. At the same time she realizes that she's pregnant from Sun. Nobody sees Shen Te from now on. Then Shui Ta is arrested for arrests killing Shen Te. The gods come back to the world as the jury to judge Shui Ta.m Shui Ta takes her mask out and explains the difficulties of the life as Shen Te in this cruel world. But gods don't listen to her and they disappear saying that“everything is going to be all right.”
