öz CASSİRER'İN NESNELLİK VE BİLİMSEL BİLGİ ANLATIŞI Doğan, Aysel M.S., Felsefe Bölûmû Tez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Akın Ergüden Haziran 1995, 100 sayfa Bu tezde Cassirer'in nesnellik ve bilimsel bilgi anlayışı eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla incelenmiştir. Teorilerin statüsü, yeni teorilerin eskilerinin yerine geçmesi, teorilerin nesnelliği gibi bilim felsefesi sorunları geleneksel yaklaşımlardan daha geniş bir bağlamda sunulup, tartışılmıştır. Cassirer'in nesnellik ve bilimsel bilgi anlayışı O'nun sembolik formların Felsefesi'nin yorumsal bir deneyimi aracılığıyla sunulmuştur. Daha sonra, O'nun bu konu hakkındaki düşünceleri, eleştirel bir yaklaşımla sorgulanmış ve bilim felsefesinin iki temel çizgisinin-Olguculuk ve Araçcı görüş-yaklaşımlanyla karşılaştınlmıştır. Cassirer'in nesnellik ve bilimsel bilgi anlayışının üstünlüğü bu bağlamda kanıtlanmıştır.Nesnelliğin deneyimsel dünyanın basit bir taklidi değil, kurala-bağlı bir belirlenimin sonucu olduğu ve bu belirlenimlerin zaman içinde değişiminin onların nesnelliğini bozmadığı vurgulanarak, Cassirer'in felsefesinin bilim felsefesi problemlerinin çözümü için önemli ipuçları önerdiği gösterilmiştir.

ABSTRACT CASSIRER'S CONCEPTION OF OBJECTIVITY AND SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE Doğan, Aysel M.S., Department of Philosophy Supervisor: Prof.Dr. Akin Erguoen June 1995, lOO pages In this thesis, Cassirer's conception of objectivity and scientific knowledge is inquired with a critical perspective. The problems of the Philosophy of Science such as the status of scientific theories, their replacement, and the objectivity of the theories are stated and discussed in a broader context than the traditional approaches. Cassirer's view of objectivity and scientific knowledge is presented by means of a hermeneutical experience of his philosophy of symbolic forms. Then, his views about this subject are critically examined and compared with the approaches of two main lines of philosophy of science, namely positivism and instrumentalism. The superiority of Cassirer's mconception of objectivity and scientific knowledge is demonstrated in this context. It is shown that Cassirer's philosophy offers important clues for the solution of the problems of philosophy of science by clarifying his views that objectivity is not a result of a mere imitation of the experiential world but a rule- dependent determination and that change of objective determinations does not destroy their objectivity. s Objectivity, Symbol, Symbolic Form.
