-490- SUMLARY', Kırşehir is a region in Middle An.at.olia, where is in the ourve of river Kızılırmak, it was chosen as a country by the Turkomans who catae to Anatolia af ter Malazgirt war. They made there lurks native land by the nataes they gave places, their language, literatüre, folklore and arts of etnography. in Kırşehir lots of beliefs are continuing wich can be qualified as the marka of the old beliefs of middle Asia. These beliefs are partly changed but partly continuing with Islamic properties. 3?or example; When a child is born, to take some measures to make the child live, to believe that he will be affacted by the evil eye, to use som.® goods like horseshoe, turtle shell, glance bead wolf tooth, oleaster and rue seeds to be pro- tected f rota the evil eye, are just sotae of these beliefs. in addition marks of the old [Durkish conviction is continuing. JFor instance when there is no rain, people go to pray för rain. This is about the belief of rain bride which belongs the old shataan beliefs“ The stone of Yada ”part and also good luck, fertility, dream, f örtüne, the tnake sick people feel better, kurban, vow and these kinds of beliefs oarry the sings of old Turkish faith. l*hen a person dies people in the environtaent take there food, to eat it together to lataent f ör the dead. it ıs believed that the spirit of the body will walk around. Sotae taoney is given to poor people f ör taaxing the spirit relax.-491- Kırşehir is a very rich region about traditions and beliefs also about folkloric literature. It is spoken much because of the poets and the arts of anonymus folk folk literature. The poets have an important mission in the name of continuing the tradition. They are the leaders in spreading of the culture. Kırşehir is famous for its folk songs all around Türkiye. It takes the first place in producing folk songs in our country. This is the sign of the largo art and culture backlog and sensibility of the public. Kırşehir' s folk songs can be classifield as“ Kı rık hava”(active melodies) and“Bozlak”(long melodies). These are pieces wich are local sensible songs. Kırşehir and places around Kırşehir carriy etnog- raphical properties, too: In Kırşehir the tradition about building houses, decoration style, parts of houses, furniture, carry local specialities. Al tough the public is very open for develop ment, they keep up the traditions. And this is good for the keeping up some kinds of arts. For example, every young girl wants a box, in which she can put her trousseau boxes of walnut tree, is very common. Still wafer bread is eaten so wooden goods are still used. Onyx stone works, copper work, and iron work is living. Carpet manufacturing is a subsistance source for centuries. Carpet pillows, cushions, clothes for performing the ritual prayer and their private patterns and the paints supplied from nature is famous all around the world.-492- Besides all of these Kırşehir is a beautiful Anatolia city with its historical values over or under the ground. The first astronomical ^investigation center in âna- tolia, Cacabey University, Aşik Paşa who gave lots of things to Turkish language, the first bussiness confederation in the world“Ahilik”and culturel values lieing under the ground are in Kırşehir where is a very valuable Anatolian city. As a result: People who want to get knowledge about Kirşehir's peoples' art, literature, folklore and etnography consequently Oğuz and Turkomans' culture and who want to investigate the bases of Turkish culture will certiinly come to Kırşehir one day and they will see that Turkish culture is existing with all the vitality for thousands of years.
