Özet
Yüzyıllara ve dönemlere uyarlı olarak düşünce yapısının değişimi, felsefe ve estetik değerlerin gelişimi sosyolojik sistemlerin farklı sembollerini de ortaya koyar. Bu bağlamda özellikle 20.yy yarısında gelişen sanayileşmenin sonucu olarak ortaya çıkan tüketim dünyası, kendi sembollerini yaratır. Çağdaş sanatta sembol kavramının bir sanat hareketine dönüşümü, işte tamda bu aşamada ortaya çıkar. Dönemin tüketim çılgınlığının ve markalaşmanın eleştirel düşüncesini vurgulamak yaklaşımı içinde, sanat anlayışlarına yeni simgeler arayan sanat ve sanatçılar, yeni gelişen düşünce yapılarını ve tekniklerini koruyarak Barkodu simgeleştirirler. Eserlerinde Barkodları plastik bir form haline dönüştürürler. Tüketim piyasasına koşut olarak, nesnenin kendisinin görsel olarak algılanması yerine çizgi ve rakamlarla tanımlanması tuvallerde ortaya çıkar. Bu doğrultuda saptadığımız birinci hedef, gerçek ile sembolün yüz yüze getirilmesi ve işaret diline endekslenen simge dünyasının tüketim hızının eleştirilmesidir. Bu aşamada, iki farklı kavram, çağdaş sanatın içinde yan yana gelir. Bir simgenin belirlenmesi ve bunun sanata dönüşümü; farklı sanat hareketleri, farklı görüşler içinde ortaya çıkan Barkod, sonuçta bir bileşenin özünü oluşturur. Tüketim dünyasını belirleyen barlar ve yani barkodlar, 1990'lardan itibaren dönemin Amerikalı, İngiliz ve Çin'li sanatçıları tarafından kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Antikapitalist ve tüketim dünyasını sembolize eden Barkod, dünya metropollerinde kullanılanken, eleştirel sembol olarak tuvallerde yerini alır.

The change of mentality and the change of philosophy and aesthetic values adaptive to the centuries and period also reveal the different symbols of the sociological systems. In this regard, the world of consumption that occurred as a result of the industrialization developed during half of the 20th century creates its own symbols. The transformation of the concept of symbol into an art movement in the contemporary art reveals precisely at this stage. Within the approach of putting emphasis on critical thinking of consumption frenzy and branding of the period, art and the artists seeking new signs to the sense of art symbolize the newly-emerging mentality and its techniques by preserving the Barcode. They change Barcodes into a plastic form in their works. In parallel to the consumer market, the determining of the object by lines and figures instead of its visual perception comes into the picture on canvases. The first goal we detected in this respect is the confronting of reality with the symbol, and the criticizing of the consumption rate of the world of sign indexed to the sign language. At this stage, two different concepts come side by side in contemporary art. The determination of a sign and the transformation of this into art; Barcode emerged within various art movements and different views ultimately form the core of a component. The bars and the barcodes determining the world of consumption began to be used by American, British and Chinese artists of the period since 1990s. While Barcode symbolizing the anti-capitalist and the world of consumption is used in the metropolises in the world, it appears on canvas as a critical symbol.
