Özet
Milliyetçilik toplumsal koşulların bir çıktısı olarak değerlendirilmekte ve toplumdan ayrı ve bağımsız bir olgu olarak konumlandırılmamaktadır. Toplumsal yaşamdaki milliyetçi söylemi yeniden üreten araçlardan biri de sinemadır. Aynı anda dünyanın dört bir tarafında vizyona giren sinema filmleri, inşa etmeye çalıştıkları gerçeklikleri geniş kitlelere iletebilmekte ve anlatılar da evrensel gösterge sistemlerini kullanarak ideolojik bir araç haline gelebilmektedirler. Sinemasal anlatıda kullanılan neredeyse sonsuz sayıdaki gösterge ve estetik anlayış, filmin anlamını doğrudan etkilemektedir. Türk sinemasında milliyetçi temayı işleyen filmlerde kullanılan göstergelerin ve estetik anlayışın tespit edilmesi bu araştırmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada 2007-2013 yılları arasında vizyona giren ve hikâyesinde Türk milliyetçiliğini merkeze alan yedi film incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Türk milliyetçiliğini ana tema olarak seçen yedi ayrı yönetmenin yedi filminde Türk milliyetçiliğini simgeleyen göstergeler ve estetik öğeler incelenmiş, bu estetik öğelerin anlatıma nasıl katıldıkları tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma ayrıca, milliyetçilik temalı filmlerin estetik yönelimlerinin yanı sıra milliyetçi ideolojinin inşasında simgelerin nasıl kullanıldıklarını da göstergebilimsel yöntemle incelemektedir.

Nationalism has been evaluated as an outcome of social conditions and positioned as a phenomena that is separate and independent from society. One of the tools that reproduce nationalist discourse in social life is cinema. The movies which come out at the same time in the four corners of the world can transmit the realities which they try to build to large masses, and the stories themselves can be an ideological vehicle by using universal indicator systems. Almost infinite number of indicators used in the cinematic narrative and aesthetic understanding affects directly the meaning of the movie. The deduction of the indicators used in Turkish Cinema movies functioning nationalistic themes and esthetics understanding constitute the primary objective of the study. In the research, seven movies coming out between 2007-2013 and centering Turkish Nationalism in their stories have been examined. In this study, indicators and aesthetic elements symbolizing the Turkish nationalism in seven films of the seven different directors choosing the Turkish Nationalism as the main theme have been examined, and hereby it has been identified how the aesthetics items participated in the expression. In addition, the research investigates also how the symbols are used in the construction of nationalist ideology as well as aesthetic tendencies of nationalism themed movies with the semiotic method.
