FlrdevBî-i RQmî who has spent his life in the middle end of XV century and in the beginning of first -mi ddle part of XVI century (Date of birth: AD. 1453; Date of death: AD. 1512 ?) was one of creative writer of the period. Not only the historian of his time but the historian after his time all have slandered his aspect of art. In thiB unproper educa tion of writer's in prosody, in metre and in grammer has played effective role. After research it İb understood from his work that knowledge and growth is God giftBd and he had got the know ledge from the same way though he had got some limited know ledge. In“Süleymân-nâme”generally there topic has been discussed. Mythology (specially mythology of Turks) stories of phrophet, geometry, astrology, chess., horse riding, tac tics of war etc. Süleyman- nâme- i Kebîr, from the publication of this work it has been considered an important source book of Turkish language. The work which belongs to the end of XV century rather has big volume. This work which consist of eighty one volume has three volume about Turkish culture (43,44,45) and three volume has been discussed in my thesis. In the introductory part of the thesis, the informa tion about Firdevsî-i Rûmî and Süleyman- nâme- 1 Kebîr has been given, manuscript has been introduced and importance of language has been analysed. Again in this part a required explanation about the construction of text and arrangement of dictionary has been done. In analysis part of Süleyman- nâme- i Kebîr, the charac teristic of phonetic spelling and shape of his original words have been discussed. In addition to that attention has been given in the making of sentences. In the text part the transcription of the work has been taken place. In this part without touching the complete ness of the work some addition work has been given in brackets, by doing so it has been tried to give strongness and completeness to the text. In the text all verses of Quran has been written in Arabic and the numbers of the verses of Quran has been given in bracket in Roman figure. In the part of dictionary the whole Turkish words, idioms and phrase are given in alphabetically orderj the words and the idioms which has changed their places and role has also been given place. In thiB part it has been tried to give special meanings of the words and place in the text has been shown from where there article and, clause haB been taken. By doing bo the words which are founded in the text but are not founded in dictionaries their meaning and co- meanings have been given, nuances have been defined and has been tried haB given metaphorical meanings. Due this work the unknown part of the work has been enlightened and has been presented to the language, litera ture and folk research fellows.
