132 SUMMARY Hamdullah Hamdî is one of the important poets of the 15th century. The poet, having a large reputation especially with his Yusuf u Züleyha, is among the fruitf ull artists of his period. Although scientific studies have been made on his almost all mesnevis, it is surprising that his Divan has been neglected so far. The purpose of this study, which we prepared as master thesis, is to present the text of the Hamdi's Divan prepared through scientific methods and thus to provide material for the studies which may be made about both the poet and the general literary climate of the 15th century. In the first section of our study, w hieh is the introduction part, a detailed assessment about the life and works of the poet is presented. The observation of the literary personality of Hamdî in the light of the Divan, can also be found in this section. In the second section, our views about the characteristics of form, literary language and style of the work are presented. The text of Divan comprising 3 kaside, 199 gazel, 1 murabba, 1 terci-i bend, 5 kıta, 3 nazım, 9 müf red and 1 beyit, some in Persian, is in the final section of the study. This text have been prepared using the two known copy of the Hamdi's Divan and a poem antology (copies of Divan: Süleymaniye Library (Esad Ef), 2626 ; Millet Library (Manzum), 120.
