Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, yaratıcı drama yönteminin matematik dersinde öğrencilerin farklı öğrenme düzeylerine ve öz-yeterlik algılarına etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma 2012–2013 eğitim öğretim yılı Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı Muğla ilinin Dalaman ilçesinde bulunan Cumhuriyet Ortaokulu'nda 5 hafta süreyle 20 ders saati boyunca uygulanmıştır. Çalışma, deney grubu 20, kontrol grubu 21 olmak üzere toplam 41 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada ön-test son-test kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Deney grubunda yaratıcı drama yöntemi, kontrol grubunda ise öğretim programında yer alan öğretim yöntemleri uygulamıştır. Araştırma suresince kullanılan veri toplama araçları; Umay (2002) tarafından geliştirilen“Matematik Öz-yeterlik Algısı Ölçeği”ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen kavrama ve uygulama düzeylerindeki başarı testleridir. Elde edilen veriler, t-testi analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre yaratıcı drama yöntemi, matematik dersi 6. sınıflar“Prizmalar ve Ölçüler Ünitesi”nde öğrenci başarısını öğretim programında bulunan yöntemlere göre daha çok arttırmıştır. Ayrıca yaratıcı drama yöntemi öğrencilerin matematik dersine yönelik öz-yeterlik algılarını da olumlu yönde etkilemiştir.

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of creative drama method on students' both success at the comprehension and application levels, and perception of self-efficacy at mathematics lesson. The research activities was applied for 20 hours in the academic year 2012-2013 under the Ministry of National Education in the district of Muğla Dalaman at Cumhuriyet Middle School for 5 weeks. This study was carried out with 20 experimental and 21 control group, totally 41 students. Pre-test post-test control group design was used at this study. While creative drama method was used at the experimental group, the method which is written on the instructional program was used at the control group. Mathematics self-efficacy scale, which is developed by Umay (2002), one comprehension and one application achievement tests, those were developed by the researcher, were the data collection tools. The data was analyzed with repeated measures t-test by comparing the average arranged according to pretest-posttest experimental research scores The study resulted that, creative drama method increased students' achievements much more than the method written on the instructional program at prisms unit at sixth grate mathematics lesson. Moreover, creative drama method effected students' self-efficacy towards mathematics lesson positively.
