This dissertation focuses on the question of vvhether or not the erime of international terrorism should be added into the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court as an international erime. Due to fact that international terrorism has risen dramatically recently, the question of vvhether or not perpetrators of international terrorism can be investigated and tried by the International Criminal Court has risen. In order to ansvver the question, this dissertation has focused main topics of adding the erime of international terrorism into the Rome Statute. What are the obstacles to add the erime into the Rome Statute and the vvorks on adding the erime of international terrorism into the Rome Statute is explained. The problem of defining terrorism as the main obstacle and what makes a erime an international erime regarding elements of the erime of international terrorism are also explained. The question of vvhether or not perpetrators of international terrorism can be investigated and tried under the core crimes listed in the Rome Statute is analyzed. This dissertation is concluded with some recommendations vvith regard to adding the erime of international terrorism into the Rome Statute.
