Children learn new things from the drama and fit it into their existing knowledge. This study investigated teachers' attitudes and perceptions to how drama may facilitate children's socialisation and behaviour and how this is reflected in the activities undertaken in the classroom in the South-East of Turkey. The research was conducted with sixty-four volunteer preschool teachers who are specialised in the early years of children's education at Turkish preschools. The data was collected through the questionnaire, observation record, and semi-structured interview methods, and utilised a qualitative research method. The data analysis revealed that there were some differences in the views of preschool teachers in regard to the use of drama techniques in their teaching and learning methods which they used during the classroom activities, and further revealed they had varying views about the relationships between drama and children's behaviour and social skills in class activities. With the contribution of volunteer teachers from different schools in the South-East of Turkey, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were conducted. Consequently, some recommendations are proposed for the preschool teachers towards increasing the use of drama techniques which help children to develop their behaviour and social skills during the classroom activities.
