Özet
ÖZET Çalışmamızda omuz periartriti tanısı konan olgular üzerinde, iodex iyon- toforezisi, KDD ve egzersiz uygulaması ile iodex fonoforezisi ve egzersiz uygulamasının etkinliği karşılaştuılmıştır. Üçüncü grup kontrol grubu olarak seçilmiş olup, yalnızca placebo US ve egzersiz uygulanmıştır. Omuz periartriti olan toplam 45 olgu, 15'er kişiden oluşan üç gruba ayrılmıştır. Çalışmamız Hacettepe Üniversitesi Fizik Tedavi ve Rehabilitasyon Yüksekokulu Elektro- terapi ünitesinde yapılmıştır. Her üç gruptaki olgulara, ağrı, normal eklem hareketleri, kas kuvveti, postür, günlük yaşam aktiviteleri ve Cyriax'm rezistif test değerlendirmesi ya pılmıştır. Ağrının azaltılması, omuz eklem hareketlerinin ve kas kuvvetinin artırılması açısından iodex iyontoforezisi, KDD ve egzersiz tedavisi ile iodex fo noforezisi ve egzersiz tedavisinin, placebo US ve egzersiz tedavisine göre daha etkin olduğu bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Cyriax'm rezistif testleri ve günlük yaşam aktiviteleri değerlendirmesin de, her üç grup arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamasına karşın, tedavi öncesi ve sonrasında yapılan grup içi değerlendirmeleri arasındaki fark iyontoforezis ve fonoforezis grubunda istatistiksel olarak daha anlamlı bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Çalışmamızdan elde ettiğimiz sonuçlarla, iodex iyontoforezisi ve iodex fonoforezisi uygulamalarının omuz periartritierinin tedavisinde alternatif bir tedavi yöntemi olabileceği görüşüne varılmıştır. 77

SUMMARY In this study, the effectiveness of a treatment method which consists of iodex iontophoresis, short wave diathermy (SWD) and exercise was compared with another treatment method which consists of iodex phonophoresis and exercise on subjects who have shoulder periarthritis. Third group was selected as control group and only placebo ultrasound (US) and exercise therapy were applied. 45 cases were divided into three equal groups (n=15). The study was conducted at the electrotherapy unit of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department, at Hacettepe University. Muscular strength, posture, pain, daily living activities, normal range of joint motion assessments and Cyriax's resisted test were applied to all subjects. The results of this study indicate that both treatment methods were more effective in decreasing pain, and in increasing range of shoulder joint motion and muscular strength than the placebo treatment method (p< 0.05). Although there were no significant difference among groups in terms of the measurements of Cyriax's resisted test and daily living activities, the difference between the pre-treatment and post-treatment measurements within groups was more significant in iontophoresis and phonophoresis groups than the placebo group (p<0.05). According to the results of this study, it can be concluded that application of iodex iontophoresis and iodex phonophoresis would be alternative methods for the treatment of shoulder periarthritis. 78
