Özet
Ülkelerin uyguladıkları döviz kuru rejimi, kısa ve orta vadede ekonomik istikrar ve büyüme üzerinde etkili olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle en uygun döviz kuru rejiminin belirlenmesi, ülkelerin makroekonomik hedefleri açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Döviz kuru rejiminin ekonomi üzerindeki bu etkileri nedeniyle döviz kuru rejimi tercihi birçok çalışmaya konu olmuş ve bu konuda birçok görüş ortaya atılmıştır. Döviz kuru ile ilgili literatüre bakıldığında bütün ülkeler için uygun olan tek bir döviz kuru rejiminin olmadığı anlaşılmıştır. Bir ülkede uygulanan döviz kuru rejiminin ülkenin ekonomik ve siyasal yapısı ile uluslararası ticaretteki gelişmelere göre değişiklik göstereceği görülmüştür. 1970'li yıllarda uluslararası parasal sistemde meydana gelen değişikliklerden sonra birçok ülke sabit kur rejiminden daha esnek bir kur rejimine kaymıştır. Bu kapsamda bu çalışmada, döviz kuru rejimlerinin genel özellikleri ve Türkiye'de uygulanan döviz kuru rejimleri açıklanarak, döviz kuru rejimlerinin ekonomik büyüme üzerine etkisi incelenmiştir.

The exchange rate regimes can influence the economic stability and economic growth in the short term and the midterm. There fore it is crucial to determine the most apprepriate exchange rate regime for the macroeconomic targets of countries. According to dictum devoted to exchange rate regime choice in determining the most appropriate exchange rate regimes for the countries the characteristics of each, economy should be taken into consideration. As for as literatüre is concerned, there is not any single exchange rate regime which is appropriate for all countries. It has been seen that the system of exchange rate in a country may change according to the developments in the international trade and economic and political structure. After the developments seen in the international monetary system in the 1970s, many countries had shifted from the fixed exchange rate system to a more flexible one. In this context, this study general properties and currency exchange rate regime implemented in Turkey in explaining rate regime, the impact on economic growth of the exchange rate regime has been examined.
