Özet
Toplumun geleceğinin iyi yetişmiş bireylere bağlı olduğu yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Bireylerin iyi yetişmiş olması ise yaşadığı toplumun benimsemiş olduğu değerlere uygun hayata hazırlanmasıyla mümkün olmaktadır. Bu durum ise karşımıza değerler eğitimini çıkarmaktadır. Değerler eğitiminin amacı, bireyi içinde yaşadığı toplumun benimsemiş olduğu değerlere uygun yetiştirmek, bu değerleri benimseyip içselleştirmesini sağlamaktır. Bu amaçla değerler, okul programlarında örtük ya da açık bir şekilde yer almıştır. Ancak öğrencilerin değer eğitiminde verilmesi amaçlanan değerleri ne kadar kazanabildikleri ve ne düzeyde değerlere sahip oldukları oldukça önemlidir. Bu nedenle araştırmada, ortaokul 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler dersi öğretim programında belirtilen değerlere ulaşma düzeyleri çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Öğrenci değerlerini ölçmek amacıyla, geleneksel değerler ölçeği, demokratik değerler ölçeği, çalışma-iş değerleri ölçeği, bilimsel değerler ölçeği ve temel değerler ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Aynı zamanda öğrencilerin okul türünü, altıncı sınıf başarı ortalamasını ve sosyo-ekonomik durumlarını tespit etmek amacıyla anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Erzincan ili merkezinde öğrenim gören ortaokul 7.sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örnekleminde ise 2014-2015 öğretim yılında 7.sınıfta bulunan 306 öğrenci yer almaktadır.

It is an undeniable fact that the future of society depend on well-trained individuals. The fact that the individuals are well-trained is possible with their preparation for life relevant to the values adopted by society. This situation makes values education necessary for us. The aim of values education is to educate individual in relevant to the values adopted by society, to adopt these values and to ensure them to internalize. For this purpose, values took place implicitly or explicitly in the school program. However, it is quite important how much the students acquire values that should be given to them in values education and in what level they have values.Therefore, we analySed the levels to which they reach the values specified in teaching program of Social Science course of 7th grade students in terms of different variables. In order to measure student values, we uSed traditional values scale, democratic values scale, working-business value scale, scientific value scale, and fundamental values scale. At the same time we applied survey in order to determine the type of school, sixth-grade achievement average point, and socio-economic status of thestudents. The universe of the study consists of 7th grade middle school students studying in the center of Erzincan. In the study sample we included 306 students of the 7th grade in 2014-2015 academic year.
