Özet

Trabzon ili kapsamında yürütülen bu çalışma ile orman algısının eğitime ve yaşanılan ortama göre ilköğretim öğrenciler üzerinde etkili olup olmadığı, bir etkisi var ise ne derece olduğu tespit edilmek istenmiştir. Bu araştırmaya Trabzon ili kent içerisinde ve kırsal kesimde eğitim gören 570 ilkokul öğrencisi ve 596 ortaokul öğrencisi olmak üzere toplam 1166 öğrenci katılmıştır. Her sınıftan ortalama 2 şubenin katılımı sağlanarak, her sınıfta 30 öğrenciden fazla öğrenci ile araştırma yapılmıştır. Söz konusu öğrencilere“orman”ile ilgili resimler yaptırılarak, bu resimler de kullandıkları figürler çeşit ve yoğunluk olarak tespit edilmiştir. Resimlerin değerlendirilmesi sırasında SPSS Windows-20 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi için öncelikle tüm resimler incelenerek öğrenciler tarafından kullanılan figürlerin frekans değerleri bulunmuştur. Orman algısında eğitimin etkisinin saptanabilmesi için her okul için ayrı ayrı Ki-Kare testleri yapılmıştır. Kentsel alan-kırsal alan etkisinin saptana bilmesi için ise öncelikle il merkezi-ilçe merkezi ve köy okulları arasında Ki-Kare test yapılmış daha sonra iki köy arasındaki farklılığı görebilmek için de ayrı bir Ki-Kare testi daha yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerden çıkan sonuçlara göre orman algısında eğitimin ve konumun etkili olduğu saptanmış ve değerlendirmelerin detaylarına tez içerisinde yer verilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre konu için çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir.

In this study, which was held within the borders of Trabzon province, it is intended to determine if the forest perpection has any affect on primary school students according to their education level and place of accommodation, and also the level of the forest perpection's affect is determined. This study contains 570 primary school students and 596 secondary school students from both urban areas and rural areas, with a total of 1166 students. The research was held with at least 30 students from and with an average of 2 sections for each class. The said students were made to draw pictures related to a forest. The figures on those pictures were assessed according to variety and intensity. SPSS Windows-20 program was used during pictures assessment. For data analysis, firstly the frequency values for each picture drawn by the students were determined by observing all of the pictures. Chi- Square Tests were held separately for each school to determine the affect of education on forest perception. Firstly Chi- Square Tests were held in schools in the city centre and some villages, afterwards an additional Chi-Square Test was held to put the difference between schools in villages. It is determined from the results that education and location are effective in forest perception and evaluations are described in this thesis. In addition solutions about the issue are offered according to the results.
