Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada bazı tuz ve su örneklerindeki iyot spektrofotometrik titrasyonla tayin edildi. Bu amaçla örnekteki iyot önce sodyum sülfit ile iyodüre indirgendi. Sonra iyodür standart Ki 03 çözeltisi ile titre edildi. Titrasyon boyunca titrasyon ürünü ile ilgili absor- banslar 226 nın'de ölçüldü. Kalibrasyon grafiği farklı konsantrasyonlardaki potasyum iyodür çözeltilerinin standart potasyum iyodat çözeltisi ile titrasyonundaki dönüm nokta- sı absorbansları ve titre edilen potasyum iyodür konsantrasyonları arasında çizildi. Kalibrasyon grafiğinden ve örnekteki iyoda karşılık gelen iyodürün titrasyonundaki dönüm noktası absorbanslarından iyot içerikleri saptandı. Kayseri çevresindeki içme sularında ve kaplıca sularındaki iyot içerikleri sırasıyla 20-76 /«g/L ve 37-88 pıglL olarak bulundu. Bu değerler Türkiye ortalamasının üzerindedir. Tuz örneklerindeki iyot içeriklerinin karşılaştırılmasından, en düşük iyot derişimi kaya tuzunda, en yüksek iyot derişimi ise iyotlu Billur tuzda görüldü.

ABSTRACT In this study, iodine in some salt and water samples was determined by spectrophotomet- ric titration. For this purpose, iodine in the samples was firstly reduced to iodide by sodium sulfite, then the iodide was titrated by the standard potassium iodate solutions. During the titration, the absorbances with related to the titration product. The I+ species, were measured at 226 nm. The calibration graph was constructed between the endpoint absorbances on the titration of potassium iodine at the different concentrations with the standard iodate solution and the potassium iodine concentrations titrated. From the calibration graph and the endpoint absorbance on the titration of iodide corresponding iodine in the sample, the iodine contents were found. The contents of iodine in drinking waters in around of Kayseri and spring waters were found to be as 20-76 /<g/L and 37-88 pig/L, respectively. These values are over the mean of Turkey. In comparison of the content of iodine in salt samples, the lowest and highest concentrations of iodine were appeared in the rock salt and the Billur salt added iodine respectively.
