Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Milli Eğitim Sistemi içinde yer alan okullardaki (ilk, orta ve lise) rehberlik ve psikolojik danışmanlık hizmetlerinde, bizzat rehber öğretmen ve psikolojik danışmanlar tarafından anlayış, algı ve uygulamalar itibariyle seslendirildiği gözlenen sorunların irdelenmesidir. Söz konusu meslek mensuplarının çalışmalarının, dil dahil, iletişim bazında yapılandığı gerçeğinden hareketle, yöntem olarak nitel araştırma ve nitel içerik analizi tercih edilmiş ve güncel yasal çerçeve ve alana dair teorik bilgi birikiminden hareketle, ilk etapta meslekte asgari beş yıllık tecrübe sahibi altı rehber öğretmenden oluşan bir pilot grup görüşmesi yapılmıştır. Bu görüşmede, katılımcıların sorulara bireysel olarak verdikleri yanıtların yanı sıra, aralarındaki tartışmalar da gözlenerek kayda geçirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler bilahare yapılan yedi odak gurup görüşmesinin sorularına kaynaklık etmek üzere tematik analize tabi tutulmuş ve süreç, tek soruluk sekizinci bir oturumla noktalanarak araştırma çerçevesinde elde edilen tüm verilerle ikinci bir tema analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, rehberlik ve psikolojik danışmanlık mesleğinin tanımı ve sınırları ile ilgili sorunlar olduğu saptanmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to explicate the problems observed regarding the perception, apprehension and the practice of guidence and psychological counselling in the National Education System (primary thru high school students) as voiced by the very practitioners of the system. The practices mentioned above being based on communication and language, method employed was qualitative content anlysis. The first stage of the research was conducted as a group interview consisting of six practioners with a minimum of five years of experience in his/her field, obviously taking into account theoretical backlog and the the current stautory. The responds to questions posed to the participants of this group and observations with regards to discussions held were meticulously recorded to further serve the second stage of the research by helping shape the questions to be posed to seven other focus groups. The data received at this second stage was further complemented with responds given to a single question posed to yet another focust group of eight and thematically analized to finalize the study. At the and of the research it is found that there are serious problems relevant to guidance and counsellings job definition and vocational borders.
