Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı; giyim üretim teknolojisi alan eğitiminin zihinsel engelli öğrencilerdeki sosyal ve alansal davranış gelişimi üzerine katkısını veli görüşleriyle belirlemek ve velilerin çocuklarının eğitimine ilişkin beklentilerini belirlemektir. Ayrıca araştırmada giyim üretim teknolojisi alan eğitiminin zihinsel engelli öğrencilerdeki sosyal ve alansal davranış gelişiminin cinsiyet, eğitime başlama yaşı ve özel eğitim mesleki eğitim merkezine devam etme süresi değişkenleri açısından da incelenmiştir. Araştırmada tarama modeline dayalı betimsel bir araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Türkiye'de giyim üretim teknolojisi alan eğitimi veren 8 özel eğitim mesleki eğitim merkezi tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen okullarda verileri toplamak amacıyla geliştirilen anket formu 179 öğrenci velisine uygulanmıştır. Anket soruları, velilerin çocuklarının eğitime ilişkin beklentileriyle ve özel eğitim mesleki eğitim merkezlerinde giyim üretim teknolojisi alan eğitimi öğrencilerinin sosyal ve alan beceri kazanımlarıyla ilişkilidir. Anket uygulaması sonucunda elde edilen verilerin analizi için SPSS for Windows (15.0) programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları özel eğitim mesleki eğitim merkezlerinde verilen giyim üretim teknolojisi alan eğitiminin öğrenci davranışlarına katkısının olduğu veli görüşleriyle tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencinin eğitime başlama yaşıyla sağlıklı ve etkili iletişim kurabilme davranışı arasındaki ilişki değerlendirildiğinde p>,05 anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmektedir. Öğrenci cinsiyeti ve daha çok paylaşımda bulunabilme davranışı karşılarştırıldığında da p>,05 anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmektedir. Diğer davranışlarla cinsiyet, öğrencinin eğitime başlama yaşı ve özel eğitim mesleki eğitim merkezlerine devam etme süresi arasındaki ilişki değerlendirildiğinde p<,05 anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadığı görülmektedir.

The aim of this research is to specify the contributions of clothing production technology branch education to social and branch related behaviour development of the students with mental disabilities by the views of parents and to specify the expectations of the parents regarding education of their children. In addition, social and branch related behaviour development on student with mental disabilities of clothing production technology branch education are examined in the research in terms of variables of gender, education starting age and continuance period to the private education vocational education center. Descriptive research method based on the screening model is used in this study. 8 private education vocational education centers in Turkey that provide clothing production technology branch education is determined. The survey form that is enhanced on the purpose of collecting data in determined schools is applied on the 179 students' parents. The survey questions are associated with the expectations of the parents regarding the education of their children and branch skill and social gain of the clothing production technology branch education students in private education vocational education centers. In order to analyse the data obtained in consequence of the survey application, SPSS for Windows (15.0) program is utilized. The contribution to the students' behaviour of clothing production technology branch education that is provided in private education vocational education centers is determined as a result of the research. When the relation between the education starting age of the student and the behaviour of establishing healthy and effective communication is evaluated, p>,05 is seen as a meaningful relation. When the gender of the student and the behaviour of sharing more are also compared, p>,05 is seen as a meaningful relation. When the relation between the other behaviours and the gender, education starting age of the student, continuance period to the private education vocational education centers are evaluated, there is no meaningful relation p<,05.
