Özet
Bu araştırmada Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı ortaokul ve liselerde çalışan Beden Eğitimi Öğretmenlerinin kullandıkları öğretim stilleri, öğretim stillerini kullanma düzeyleri ve bu stillere ilişkin değer algıları; yaş, cinsiyet, öğrenim durumları, mezun olunan üniversite ve bölüm, görev yaptıkları okul düzeyleri, görev yaptıkları yerleşim yeri türü ve coğrafi bölgeler, görevdeki hizmet süresi, kadro durumu ve unvan durumlarına göre incelenmiştir. Ayrıca beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin stil kullanımlarına değer algılarının etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çalışmaya 1682 (523 kadın, 1159 erkek) gönüllü beden eğitimi öğretmeni katılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre en fazla kullanılan ve değer verilen stillerin, öğreten merkezli stiller olduğu söylenebilir. Katılımcıların öğretim stillerini kullanma durumları incelendiğinde yaş, cinsiyet, öğrenim durumları, mezun olunan bölüm, görev yaptıkları yerleşim yeri türü ve coğrafi bölgeler, görevdeki hizmet süresi, kadro durumu ve unvan değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gözlenirken görev yaptıkları okul düzeyleri ve mezun olunan üniversite değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farlılık bulunamamıştır. Katılımcıların öğretim stillerine ilişkin değer algıları incelendiğinde yaş, öğrenim durumları, görev yaptıkları coğrafi bölgeler, görevdeki hizmet süresi, kadro durumu ve unvan değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gözlenirken cinsiyet, görev yaptıkları okul düzeyleri, mezun olunan üniversite, mezun olunan bölüm ve görev yaptıkları yerleşim yeri türü değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farlılık bulunamamıştır. Yaptığımız çalışmanın sonunda elde ettiğimiz istatistiki veriler Türkiye'de ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin öğreten merkezli öğretim stillerini daha çok kullandıklarını ve bu stillere değer verdiklerini göstermektedir. Bu çalışma sonuçlarına göre bakanlık bünyesinde yapılan hizmet içi eğitim çalışmalarında öğrenen merkezli öğretim stillerinin kullanılabilirliğini anlatan faaliyetlere geniş olarak yer verilmeli, yapılandırmacı yaklaşımın içeriği daha açık bir şekilde öğretmenlere aktarılmalı, öğrenmenin bu yaklaşımla kalıcılığının arttığı belirtilmelidir.

The purpose of this study is to determine the predominantly used teaching styles and the teaching styles value perceptions of physical education teachers serving in state secondary and high schools in various regions, cities and districts. The variants used to get data were age, gender, graduate degree, university and department, academic standards of the schools they serve in, type of the settlement, region, seniority, professional title and degree of the teachers. Also the research aims to find out the effects of the teachers' value perceptions on the use of styles in their teachings. The research was carried out on a total of 1682 (523 female, 1159 male) volunteer physical education teachers serving in state secondary and high schools in various regions. It was determined that teacher-centred teaching styles were predominantly used valued by the teachers. On the results of the research it was concluded that there were significant differences among the preferred teaching styles based on age, gender graduate degree, university and department, the serving settlement, seniority, professional title and degree variations. On the other hand there were slight differences based on the academic standards of the schools they serve in and graduate university variations. Analyzing the teacher's value perceptions of the teaching styles it was concluded that there were significant differences based on age, graduate degree, serving region, seniority, professional title and degree variations. On the other hand there were slight differences based on gender, academic standards of the schools, graduate university, department and settlement variations. The quantitive results of the study has shown that physical education teachers serving in state secondary and high schools predominantly use and value learner-centred teaching styles. It is offered through this study that in-service training programmes should be designed to enhance the value perceptions of learner-centred teaching styles and constructivist teaching approaches.
