499 SUMMARY The aim of this research is, briefly, to find out similarities, differances and interactions between biological and Cultural evolu tion theories and Contribute to reaching a biocultural synthesis of biological and cultural evolution theories. In accordance with this aim, in chapter I, some basic infor mations has been given about the theoritical framawork, aim, met hod and problem of this research. In chapter II, an attemp has been made to define the historical origins of evolutionary theories. Then, in chapter III, a critical view has been put forth on the biological evo lution theories and an cultural evolution theories in chapter IV. In chapter V, both the biological and cultural evolution theories have been reviewed in a comparative way. After, evaluating the data relevant to the problem and aim of the research, I reached at the following conclusions: 1. The biological and cultural evolution theories have followed a line of development in reaching at a biocultural synthesis. 2. There are many parallels and similarities between biologi cal and cultural evolution theories, in addition to some differances. 3. Evolutionary theories have come from past to present, by passing through a process of interaction.
