SUMMARY This study is based on the examination of three different concepts besides the correspondance of them within economy: informel sector, informel employment and informel economy. First of ali, it is necassaıy to mention criterias in order to cali an economic activity as informel such as the scale of activity, the size of capital, composition of employment and characteristics of labour, levels of earning. They are required to be taken into consideration in defining the informel sector. informel sector has quite heterogenous structure due to varieties of sub-sectors, typs of activities and forms of employment. Secondly, this study conceptual on the examination of the concept of unprotected labour which defines the ones who are not coverd any legal ör actuel protection. it is obvious that the rate of this category increases as the informel sector expands. The concept of informel economy is the last focus of our description. informel economy which covers informel sector and informel employment, grows up not only by virtue of the expansion of micro units, but also, by the fact that the large amount vvorkshopp incime to the this sector in order to be exempt of legal duties. İn fact, this process characteristic to the developing countries, seening to come into picture and gains some important aspects in developed countries too.
