Özet

Bu çalışmanın ana amacı, işletmelerin üretim maliyetlerinin rekabet gücü üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Alt amaçları ise ilk olarak; işletmenin üretim maliyetlerini oluşturan direkt ilk madde ve malzeme, direkt işçilik ve genel üretim maliyetlerinin toplam üretim maliyeti içerisindeki paylarının test edilmesidir. İkincisi ise direkt ilk madde ve malzeme, direkt işçilik ve genel üretim maliyetlerinin rekabet gücü üzerindeki etkisini irdelemektir. Araştırmada kullanılan ölçeklerin güvenilirliklerinde Cronbach Alfa Katsayısı yöntemi geçerliliklerinde ise Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi kullanılmıştır. Ölçeklerin güvenilirlik ve geçerlilikleri belirlendikten sonra araştırma hipotezleri, Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli ile test edilmiştir. Analiz bulgularına göre; üretim maliyetleri, rekabet gücü üzerinde negatif bir etkiye sahiptir. Bununla birlikte direkt ilk madde ve malzeme ile genel üretim maliyetlerinin toplam üretim maliyetleri içerisinde yüksek bir paya sahip olduğu bunun yanında direkt işçilik maliyetlerinin toplam üretim maliyetleri içerisindeki oranının ise oldukça düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Diğer bir bulgu olarak; direkt ilk madde ve malzeme ile genel üretim maliyetlerinin rekabet gücü üzerinde hemen hemen eşit düzeyde ve negatif yönde bir etki oluşturduğu, direkt işçilik maliyetinin ise negatif yönde ancak diğer üretim maliyetlerine kıyasla daha düşük düzeyde bir etkisi olduğu söylenebilir.

The main purpose of this study is to determine the effects of production costs on competitiveness in enterprises. The subpurposes of the study are firstly, to test the share of direct raw materials and supplies costs, direct labour costs and general production costs, which form production costs of enterprises in total production costs; and secondly, to examine the effects of direct raw materials and supplies, direct labour and general production costs on competiveness. The reliability of scales of the research had been tested by Cronbach's Alfa Method and the validity of scales had been tested by Confirmatory Factor Analysis. After determining the reliability and validity of the scales, research hypotheses was tested by Structual Equation Modeling. According to findings of the analysis, production costs have a negative impact on competiveness. On the other hand, the results show that direct raw and supplies costs and general production costs have a high share in total production costs while direct labour costs have a considerably low share. In addition to these, it may be seen that, direct raw materials and supplies costs and general production costs have a negative but nearly equal effect on competiveness while direct labour costs have a negative but rather low effect than other production costs.
