Hafız-i Abru is one of the most important historians of the Timur i d period. His work“Zubdat al-Tavarih-i Baysungur i ”is also one of the most important historical sources for the history of Iran under the Timur id Empire and it is valuable from several point of views. This thesis contains a short introduction and three main parts. In the introduction part we have given some general information about the history writing and history writers of the islamic world and especially history writers of the 14-1 5. th centuries of Persian territory. At the first part there are some new researchs about Hafiz-i Abru like as his name, birth place, story of life and his historical works. At the second part we have given some acknowledgements about the book“Zubdat al-Tavarih-i Baysunguri”, its manuscripts at the libraries of the Iran, Turkey and some other countries, of the world and its literal specialities from several point of views. At the third part we have presented the persian text of“Zubdat al-Tavarih-i Baysunguri”.
