SUMMARY İn this work, we studied the life and the method of Quranic commentary of M. İzzet Derveze who is a historian, a politician and a commentator, lived in our age. Derveze, born in Nablus 1887, and died in Damascus 1984, had published numerous papers in various fields such as literature, history, policy, and the Quranic sciences. Derveze is the first commentator in the islamic world who interpreted the Qur'an in the chronology of verses The author followed the method of commenting the Qur'an primarily by Qur'an and than by Sunnah. Having been inspiration from these two main sources, he produced comments proper to himself by making use of his accumulation and his wide range thought. During his comments of Qur'an he also attributed to rational commentary as well as traditional commentary. His works and interprets in this area is in the high level to new approaches and richness in the sense of commenting of Qur'an. We believed that Derveze's thoughts will find an important place and reveal useful results in notifying Islam to the contemporary human beings. 1»"
