Özet
Bu tezde, küresel toplumsal hareketlerin dünya çapında tanınmış bir olgu haline gelmesi üzerinden; hareketin gelişimi, nitelikleri, özneleri ve hedefleri açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda hareketin tanımlanması üç dönemde yapılmıştır. 1800-1960, 1968-1980 ve 1980'den-günümüze toplumsal hareketlerin yaşadıkları değişim dönemin sosyo-ekonomik koşullarının bir sonucu olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Küresel toplumsal hareketlerin itici gücünü, özelikle 1990 sonrası uygulanan neo-liberal politikaların sorgulanması ve alternatif modellerin düşünülmeye başlanmasının oluşturduğu inancı taşınmaktadır. Hareketin öznelerinin tanımlanması Michael Hardt ve Antonio Negri'nin“çokluk”teorisi üzerinden yapılmıştır. Tezin ikinci bölümünü küresel toplumsal hareketlerin neo-liberal küreselleşme sürecine alternatif model arayışı şekillendirmiştir. Hareketin özneleri, özellikle temsili demokrasi sistemine getirilen eleştiriler üzerinden, katılımcı ve müzakereci demokrasi modelini bir hedef olarak ortaya koymuştur. Bu bölümde bahsedilen demokrasi kuramları detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Bu süreçte Dünya Sosyal Forum'unun“Başka Bir Dünya Mümkün”bildirgesi ve forum ilkelerinin toplumsal hareketlerin somut bir çıktısı olması nedeniyle oldukça önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir. Tezin son bölümü özel bir örnek olan 5 Yıldız Hareketinin incelenmesine ayrılmıştır. Hareketin;“yatay örgütlenme”,“farklılıklara saygı ve temsil hakkı”,“demokrasi vurgusu”,“sosyal medya”gibi belirleyici özellikleriyle, küresel toplumsal hareketlerin ortak noktaları ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır.

In this thesis, the improvement of the social movement, characteristics, subjects and targets are tried to be explained over the fact that global social movements have turned into a phenomenon known all around the world. In accordance with this purpose, the definition of the movement is made in three periods. The changes the social movements have been through in from 1800 to 1960, from 1968 to 1980 and from 1980 until today are evaluated as being a result of the socio-economic conditions of the period. Especially the part“after 1990”bears the belief that the impulse of the global social movements are composed by the questioning of the neo-liberal globalization policies after 1990 and the search for the alternative models for them. The definition of the subjects of the movements is made through the“multitude”theory of Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri. The second part of the thesis is shaped by the alternative model search of the global social movements to neo-liberal globalization process. The subjects of the movement have put participatory and deliberative democracy models forward as the target over the criticism made against especially the representative democracy system. The democracy theories mentioned in this part are analyzed in a detailed way. It is regarded as quite important in this process as the 'Another World is Possible' declaration of the World Social Forum and as the forum principles are the concrete outputs of the social movements. The last part of the thesis is spared for the analyzing of the '5 Star Movement'; a special sampling. Such deterministic characteristics of the movement as“horizontal organization”,“respect for the differences and the right of representation”,“democracy emphasis”,“social media”and the common points of the global social movement are tried to be set forth.
