DİESEL MOTORLARINDA İS PARTİKÜLLERİNİN FİLTRE EDİLMESİ ( Yüksek Lisans Tezi ) ibrahim U?UR GAZİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ FEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜ Nisan 1995 ÖZET Günümüzde dünyayı tehdit eden sorunların başında hava kirliiği gelmek tedir. Hava kirliliğine neden olan etkenlerin başında da, motorlu araçların ekso- zundan çıkan yanma sonu ürünleri gelmektedir. Bu sebeple motorlu araçlann ek- sozlanndan çıkan emisyonlara belidi standart değerler getirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada son yıllarda her alanda yaygın olarak kullanılan diesel motorlarının eksozundan çıkan is partiküllerinin tutulması ele alınmıştır. Bu amaçla diesel motorunun ek- soz sistemi çıkışına tutucu bir filtre monte edilmiş ve üç grup halinde deneyler ya pılmıştır. Yapılan deney çalışmalarında tutucu filtrenin boyutları ve filtre içinde kul landan çakıl taşlarının ortalama çaplan değiştirilmiştir. Bu esnada filtrelerin giriş ve çıkışları arasındaki basınç farkları, eksoz sıcaklığı, is numuneleri, motor gücü, döndürme momenti, yakıt sarfiyatı, soğutma suyu sıcaklığı ve devir sayısı ölçüm leri alınarak değerlendirilmiş ve buna göre verim değerleri elde edilmiştir. Değişik çap ortalamalarına ve boyutlara sahip tutucu filtrelerle yapılan üç grup deneyler de görülmüştür ki, çap ortalaması düştükçe ve filtre boyu uzadıkça tutucu filtre nin verimi o derece artmaktadır. n

FILTRATION OF THE CARBON PARTICLES WHICH COME OUT OF THE DIESEL ENGINES ( M. Sc. Thesis ) Ibrahim UGUR GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY April 1995 ABSTRACT One of the important problems of the world today is pollution.The things which cause pollution are mostly the post burning productions. So the emissions which come out of the exhausts of the vehicles were standardized. In this study, it has been studied on the filtration of the carbon particles which come out of the diesel engines that have been commonly used in the recent years. So it has been placed a traping filter at the end of the exhaust system and three groups of experiments have been done. During the experiments the sizes of the filters and the pebble stones used in the filter have been changed. By the time, the pressu re differences between the entrance and the exit of the filters exhaust tempera ture, carbon instances, engine power, cycling moment, fuel consumption, cool ing water temperature, and cycling numbers have been tested and according to these results, the production values are obtained. During the experiments of the se three groups, it has been found that as the diameter average gets smaller and the length of the filter gets longer the efficiency of the traping filter gets hig her. m
