Özet
Batı düşünce tarihinin eserleri ve düşünceleri ile topluma yön veren en önemli filozoflardan birisi Immanuel Kant'tır. Bu araştırmada Kant'ın eğitime bakış açısı, çocuğa ve topluma verilmesi gereken eğitim hakkındaki düşüncelerine yer verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde özellikle Avrupa'da antik Yunan'dan itibaren dönemsel olarak farklılıklar gösteren Avrupa eğitim anlayışlarını ana hatlarıyla ortaya koymaya çalıştık. İkinci bölümde Kant'ın eğitim anlayışının genel çerçevesi ve kavramlarını Üçüncü Bölümde ise Kant'ın eğitim anlayışını iki ana başlık altında incelemeye çalıştık. İlk ana başlık altında, Kant'ın birey eğitimi ve bu eğitimin temel özellikleri; ikinci ana başlık altında ise, Kant'ın toplum eğitimi ve bu eğitimin nihai hedefini oluşturan toplumsal barışın nasıl sağlanacağı konuları ele alındı. Sonuç Bölümünde Kant'ın birey ve toplum eğitiminin günümüze yansımaları üzerine kısa bir değerlendirme yapıldı.

Kant was one of the most important philosophers who left a mark on his era and gave direction to society through his works and thoughts. In this study, Kant's perspective on education and his ideas about the education which must be given to children and society are included. In the first section, understanding of European education which shows the differences periodically from the ancient Greek especially in Europe is outlined. In the second section, Kant's concept of education is analyzed in two top headlines. In the first headline, Kant's individual education and what should be in this education are examined. In the second headline, Kant's education and the social peace that constitutes the ultimate goal of this education are discussed. Finally, Kant's individual and social education are assessed together and the reclecitons of this assessment to the present are demostrated.
