Özet
Endüstri Devrimi sonrasındaki makineleşme ile mekaniğin bir sanat ortamı olarak sunulması, endüstrinin gelişimi ile teknolojinin sanatla daha yakın bir bağ kurması, fotoğrafın icadı ile resmin, sanatçıların tekelinden çıkıp, onları farklı sanat kavramları aramaya itmesi, elektriğin keşfi ile ışık ve hareketin elektronik sanat biçimi olarak ortaya çıkması ve bilgisayarın icadının sanatçıyı uçsuz bucaksız dijital bir dünyaya sokması, sanatçı ve sanat eserlerinin yaşadığı baş döndürücü evrimi özetlemektedir. İster olumlu ister olumsuz olsun tüm bu gelişmeler sanatsal üretim için muhteşem bir kaynak olmuştur. Teknoloji, her çağda ve sanat döneminde sanatçıya gerek duyduğu anlarda yardım etmiş, onu daha ileri bir seviyeye yükseltmiştir. Özellikle 19. yüzyılın ikinci yarısı, 20. yüzyılın tamamı ve günümüze kadar gelen süreçte, önemli bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmeler yaşanmıştır. Bu dönem sanat tarihinde en fazla akımların yaşandığı bir dönemdir. Teknolojinin hızlı gelişimi,Empresyonizm öncesindeki klasik betimleme anlayışını kökten bir değişikliğe uğratmış sanatların hemen her türünü etkilemiştir. Post empresyonistlerin temelini attığı yeni oluşumlar, önce soyutlamalara ve ardından da soyut bir dünya görüşünün oluşmasına sebep olmuştur. Teknoloji, bazı dönemlerde sanat akımlarını kısmen etkilemiş, bazı dönemlerde de yeni bir sanat anlayışının ortaya çıkmasına sebep olmuştur. Öyle ki, bu sanat kavramları isimlerini bile teknolojinin kendisinden almışlardır. Bu da teknolojinin sanat üzerindeki etkisinin ve rolünün önemini göstermektedir. Diyebiliriz ki, sanat her zaman olduğu gibi günümüzde de teknolojinin nimetlerinden en çok yararlanan daldır. Sanatçı da teknolojiden yararlanmakta ve onu direkt olarak kullanmaktadır. Bir başka açıdan bakıldığında sanatçı, toplumun ihtiyaç olarak ürettiği teknolojiyi aynı topluma şaşırtıcı bir şekilde sunmaktadır.

The fact that machining and meshanics are presented as an art medium after Industrial Revolution, the fact that development of industry set up a closer cord with art, and the fact that painting escaped from the monopol of the artists along with the invention of photography, and the fact that they forced different art concepts, and the fact that light and movemend came into existence as a type of electronic along with the invention of electricity, and the fact that the invention of computer forced the artist into an endless world summarised an unprecented evolotion artists and artworks experienced. Whether positive or negative, all these developments have become a source for artistic production. Tecnology helped the artist at every age and art era, and made him/her go up at a higher level. Particularly, in the second half of 19th century, the whole 20th century and uptil now, significent technologic and scientific developments have been experienced. This era is the one when the most artistic movements are experienced. The prompt development of technology made classical description understanding before Impressionism change rootly, and affected all kinds of the arts. New occurances Post-Impressionists founded lead to an abstract paint of view and following this abstract occurances. Technology affected artistic movement partly in some periods, and at some periods it led to a new optictic understanding come into existence. Therefore, these artistic concepts were named after the technology itself. This indicates the effect and the role of the technology on the art. We can say That Art is a branch by which we take advantage of the benefits of technology in our present day. The artist also takes advantage of the technology, and have used it directly. When we consider it another paint of view, the artist has prensented the technology the society produced as need to the same society an a surprising way.
