Özet
Bu tez çalışmasında son yıllarda gelişen teknolojiyle ve değişen insan gereksinimleriyle birlikte önemli bir hale gelen sürdürülebilir kalkınma kavramı ve sürdürülebilir mimarlık ilkeleri doğrultusunda, Dünya'da yaygın olarak kullanılmaya başlanan binalarda suyun etkin kullanım yöntemleri, ülkemizde de yaygınlaştırılması hedefiyle incelemiştir.Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde öncelikle, günümüzde sürdürülebilirliğin önemi vurgulanmış ve sürdürülebilirlik mimarlık ilkeleri incelenmiştir. Dünya'da ve ülkemizde yaşanan ve yaşanması olası su sorunları incelenerek, suyun etkin kullanılmasının artık bir gereklilik olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Binalarda su tüketiminin kontrol altına alınması sürdürülebilir mimarlık ilkeleri kapsamındaki yeri de incelenmiştir.Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde de, binalarda su korunumuna ilişkin geliştirilen atıksuların arıtılarak yeniden kullanılması, yağmur suyunun toplanılarak kullanılması, binalarda tesisat elemanları ile alınabilecek önlemler ile su tasarrufu sağlanması hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bu yenilikçi teknolojilerin kullanılabilmesi için yurtdışında ve ülkemizde yer alan teşvikler ve özellikle son yıllarda giderek daha fazla yaygınlaşan Sürdürülebilir Mimari Değerlendirme Sistemlerinde su yönetiminin etkileri incelenerek, bu programlardan sertifika alan ülkemizdeki yapıların suyu etkin kullanabilmek ve tüketimi azaltmak için yapmış oldukları incelenmiştir..Çalışmanın son bölümünde de çalışmanın sonuçları değerlendirilerek, binalarda su tüketimini azaltabilecek öneriler sunulmuştur.

In this thesis study, I have investigated the effective method of use of water in the buildings that became more crucial in the recent years with the developing technology and altering human necessities in terms of sustainable development and sustainable design. With this investigation, I am aiming for this method to become widespread in the country.First part of this study emphasizes the importance of sustainability and analyzes the principles of sustainable design in our world today. The fact that the effective usage of water is now a necessity is highlighted through examining the water problems that occur and are likely to occur in our country. Furthermore the role of controlling the consumption of water in the buildings is explored in terms of sustainability.The second part of the study informs about reusing wastewater that emerges due to the protection of water in the buildings; congregating the rainwater; saving water by preventions that can be taken by the installation elements. In order to use these innovative technologies I have analyzed the promotions that are done both in our country and abroad and the analysis of certification programs that are becoming even more widespread especially in the recent years. Additionally, I have analyzed the progress of using water effectively and minimizing the consumption in the structures in our country that have received certification from these programs,Finally, I have evaluated the conclusions and outcomes of the study and proposed suggestions that can decrease the consumption of water in the structures.
