Özet
İnsan varolduğundan beri eğitme ve eğitilme ihtiyacı duymuştur. Bundan dolayı zamanın koşullarına uygun olarak eğitim modelleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Öyle ki bu eğitim modelleri bireyi bazen otoriteye bağlı iyi bir yurttaş, bazen de tam tersi bir şekilde otoriteye karşı çıkan özgür birey yetiştirme amacı gütmüştür. Eğitim modellerini incelerken bu değişkenliği açık bir şekilde görmekteyiz. İşte bu tez çalışmasında, zaman içerisinde felsefe akımlarından ortaya çıkan eğitim modellerini ele aldık. Bu eğitim modellerinden hareketle 18. yüzyılın önemli filozoflarından John Lockeun yaşadığı çağda çok önemsenen ve günümüz dünyasının şekillenmesinde rol oynayan siyaset felsefesinin eğitime bakan yönünü sorunlaştırdık. Devletin tarafsızlığına vurgu yapan Locke?un hoşgörü fikrinin ve liberalizm temeline dayalı bu siyaset anlayışının nasıl bir eğitim felsefesi ortaya çıkardığını tartıştık. Buna bağlı olarak liberal birey olma yolundaki çocuğun eğitim sürecini açıklayarak, Locke?un bu süreçteki pedagojik yöntemlerini ortaya koymaya çalıştık.

Since their existence, human beings have needed to train and be trained. Therefore, educational models emerged in accordance with the conditions of the time, so much so that these models aimed to produce good individuals sometimes obedient to the authority or, in contrast, independent individuals against the authority. This variation is most apparent while investigating the educational models. This study discusses the educational models emerging from the philosophical movements over the time. Based on these movements, we brought it to the question the political philosophys face towards the education, which was of paramount importance at the period when one of the most important 18th century philosophers, John Locke lived and which played a role in shaping the modern world. The study discusses what kind of educational philosophy John Lockes idea of tolerance and his understanding of liberalism-based politics gave rise to, who put emphasis on the neutrality of the state. To this parallel, the study aimed to demonstrate Lockes pedagogical methods in this process, explaining the educational process of the child who is on the way to being a liberal individual.
