Özet
Bu çalışma; İstanbul ili, 39 ilçe sınırları içerisinde bulunan resmi ilköğretim okullarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, görev yapan Türkçe öğretmenlerinin ve projeye katılan yazarların görüşleriyle değerlendirilmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir.İstanbul Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğünün, ?Yazarlar Okullarda? projesinin öğrencilerin kitap okuma alışkanlığı üzerinde etkilerini incelemeyi amaçlayan bu çalışma; Projenin uygulayıcısı olan projeye katılan her kademeden ilköğretim öğrencilerinin, Türkçe öğretmenlerinin ve yazarların sürece ilişkin görüşleri çerçevesinde uygulamanın aksaklıklarının ortaya konulmasını hedeflemektedir.Bu araştırmanın örneklemini, 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılında, İstanbul ili, 39 ilçesindeki 1386 ilköğretim okulunda öğrenim gören 1101 öğrenci, görev yapan 848Türkçe öğretmeni ve 23 yazar oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla ?Öğrenci?, ?Öğretmen? ve ?Yazar? anketi uygulanmış, elde edilen bulgularda öğrenci, öğretmen ve yazar tarafından uygulamanın başarılı olduğu ifade edilmiştir.Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara göre projeyle öğrencilerin yazarlarla buluşması öğrencilerde okuma alışkanlığı oluşturmada farkındalık yaratmış, okuma-yazma isteği uyandırmıştır. Proje öğrencilerin duygusal gelişimine katkı sağlayarak, onların soru soran, eleştirel, bağımsız düşünen, özgüveni artmış bireyler olmalarında önemli bir mihenk taşı olmuştur. İstanbul MEM in uygulamayı yeniden değerlendirmesi, aksaklıklarının giderilmesi ve ilköğretim düzeyinde kitap okuma alışkanlığı kazandırılmasında en etkili kurum olan okulların ve öğretmenlerin görüşlerine başvurulması, ailelerin projede daha etkin yer almalarının sağlanması ve yazar-eser seçiminde gerekli hassasiyetin gösterilmesigerekmektedir. Projenin İstanbul'un devamı olarak Türkiye nin tüm illerinde yapılması ve geliştirilmesi önerilebilir.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the Writers on Schools Project according to the the students enrolled in the public elementary schools, the Turkish teachers serving in all the public elementary schools in 39 districts of İstanbul and the writers involved in the project.The study aiming at investigating the effects of the“Writers in SchoolsProject”of İstanbul Directorate of National Education on students? reading habit has the objective of uncovering the failures of the Project within the framework of the views of the students, the Turkish teachers and the writers participating the ProjectThe sample of the study is 1101 students studying and 848 Turkish teachers working in 1386 public primary schools in 39 districts of İstanbul and 23 writers in 2011-12 educational year. In the study, the Student, Teacher and Writer Survey was applied. According to the findings of the study, the project was expressed to be succesful by the students, teachers and writers.According to the findings of the study, the students? meeting with the writers by the project raised awareness in creating in reading habit in the students, aroused desire to read and write in the students, contributed to the intellectual and emotional developments of the students.According to the findings of the study, the views of the schools and teachers that are the most effective factors in the gaining of the reading habit to the students can be applied in the project. In addition, the families can be more active in the project and the necessary sensitivity in the selection of the writers and their works should be shown. The project should be done in all the cities of Turkey and developed.
