Özet
Erciyes Mountain is in the middle Kızılırmak part of the Inner Anatolia district,z5 km far to Kayseri.lt's a 3917 metre height volkanic mountain. It's appropriate for all mountain sports with snow and ice cover on it and beauti ful apperiance from the distant The possibilities of transportation is easy with various vehicles to Kayseri and Erciyes Mountain from everywhere of Turkey.There are connections with highway and airline to the other centers.Near ness to Capodacia augments its impantance. Erciyes Mountain was formed in the 3rd geologic time and it's a heop volcan with the othervolcan conies in the near past.ln the sides of the mounta in seldom founded ski areasformed for the winter sports and especially for theskîers.Stîll ski can be done in the Tekir high plateou on the way of Kayseri- Develi and the high plateus on the Hacılar were formed after the geologic for mation of mountain. It's climate is under the effect of terrestrial climatebut the climate shows a difference from terrestrial climate tö mountain climate when climbing from the foothills to summit. There is snow cover on the mountain seven months of year.Skiing can be done from December to April.lt snov dust shows quality from the snow peculi- arity. That's an important peculiarity which the skierswant.There isn't a mete orology station or the mountain but there are two totalizators and snow eşels. There are vineyards and gardens at the foothills and there are trees like willows.poplars etc.in the wet places.After 1 600 metres there are neither tre- esnor bushes but there are high mountain grasses in there Heres are used as high platesau but it was told from the specialists that this part of the mountain is appopriate to afforest. Erciyes Mountain is a natural water depot for the settlement places which are around it,near the other pecualirities of the mountain. In here some goverment establishments.some buildings which are estab lished as education and roadhouse foundations have a big interest.Gainig of importance winter Sports in Turkey and Word,having a appropriate potential for winter sports brought it to agenda to make here a tourism area. Building a touristic aimed hotel augmented its interest and Tourism Ministry acceped he re as a winter sports and tourism centre. Acordingto this public works were prepared.Acoraing to this public works after the finished Erciyes Mountain VIIIwill be a centre where the international races can be done,and stranger and native tourits can stay.The planning of the works still contunues which will se cure the climbing mauntains,doing trekking or going to picnics everyday for tourists. To make the mountain a tourism centre except Tourism Ministiry.assorted goverment and private establishments,societies and Kayseri people gave their helps. There are some objections to the mastır plan about the established tou ristic foundations can dirty the circumfenece and water springs and make nar rower the ski areas. Erciyes Mountain is showing that it's a torism tressuare, a natural weath and white golden its improvements in the last years. The works continue with all their speed to give the most useful service for Turk and Word tourism.When here is being made a tourism centre people must becareful about keeping circumference^ and natural equilibrium.lt must be known that the investment which will invest to here will give result in a short time and it will provide an important income to country tourism.
