Özet
Bu tez çalışması, yüzyıllarca Batı sanatı ve estetiğinde tedavülden hiç kalkmayan bir kavram olmayı başaran mim?sis'i, Platon'un yapıtlarında ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele almayı amaçlamaktadır. Bunun için ilk olarak, Platon öncesi ve bazıları da onun dönemine denk düşen edebiyat, şiir, tragedya, tarih yazımı, hitabet sanatı gibi entelektüel alanlardaki ünlü isimlerde, mim?sis ve mimeomai fiilinin nerelerde kullanılmış olduğu ayrıntılı bir incelemeye tabi tutulacaktır.Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise Platon'un eserlerine yoğunlaşılacak ve onun yapıtlarında mim?sis'in hangi bağlamlarda ele alındığı açığa çıkarılmaya çalışılacaktır. Bunun için öncelikle Platon'da çok önemli bir başka kavram olan tekhn? mercek altına alınacaktır. Ardından, sırasıyla eid?lon ve poi?sis ele alınacak ve bu kavramların Platon'un felsefesiyle ilgisi gösterilecektir.Daha sonra bir eid?lopoiik? etkinliği olarak mim?sis, Antik dönemin ?benzerliğe? (eik?n) dayalı ürün verme anlayışı bağlamında ele alınacaktır. Bunun için ilk olarak, eid?lopoiik? ?resim, heykel, müzik? gibi zanaat dallarında (tekhn?) incelenecektir. Son olarak, retoriğin de az önce sözü edilen zanaatlara benzer şekilde eid?lon ürettiğine vurgu yapılacaktır. Tüm bu incelemeler ışığında, Platon'da mim?sis'in epistemolojik, ontolojik, estetik ve de son olarak etik boyutuyla nereye konumlandırıldığı ortaya çıkarılacaktır.

This work targets to treat the concept of mim?sis in the Platonic corpus which has succeeded to breath for centuries in the Western art and aesthetics. In order to do this, first of all, mim?sis and verb mimeomai will be examined in the works of some famous figures of Ancient literature, poetry, history and rhetorics who lived before Plato or was a contemporary of him.In the second part of the work, it will be focused on the Platonic corpus, thereby it is tried to be revealed in which contexts mim?sis has been treated. So firstly, techn? which is another crucial concept of Plato will be zoomed. Afterwards, respectively eid?lon and poi?sis will be treated and the relationship between these concepts and Plato?s philosophy will be designated.Afterwards, mim?sis as an activity of eid?lopoiik? will be treated in the context of producing which is determined by the Ancient concept of ?likeness? (eik?n). In order to do this, firstly, eid?lopoiik? will be examined in the artisanships (techn?) like ?painting, sculpture, music?. Lastly, it will be emphasized that like the other artisanships which are just mentioned, rhetorics produces eid?lon, too. In the light of all these investigations, it will be revealed that where mim?sis is situated with its epistemological, ontological, aesthetical and finally with its ethical dimensions in the Platonic corpus.
