Özet
Bu çalışmada pozitivist paradigmanın yöntembilimsel ilkeleri ve bu yöntembilimsel ilkelerin,siyasal konum alışlara olan etkisi Auguste Comte ve Émile Durkheim örneklerine yoğunlaşılarak incelenecektir. Siyasal düşünceler tarihi içerisinde toplumsal olanın nasıl ele alınacağı, gerçekliğe ilişkin bilgilerin nasıl ve nereden elde edileceği ve bunların sistematik bir düşünümde nasıl dizilmesi ve yorumlanması gerektiği soruları -özetle yöntembilim sorunsalı-, hiçbir zaman siyasal tercihlerden tamamen bağımsız bir biçimde gelişmemiştir. Bu sebeple pozitivizm özelinde bu ilişkinin açığa çıkarılabilmesi ve değerlendirilebilmesi için bu çalışmada, pozitivizmin içine doğduğu tarihsel ve siyasal koşullar tespit edildikten sonra pozitivizmin iki büyük kurucusu olarak genel kabul gören Comte ve Durkheim'ın yöntembilimsel önermeleri, bu isimlerin siyasal düşünceleriyle birlikte sunulacaktır. Çalışmanın son bölümü ise pozitivizmin tarihsel serüveninde süreklilik kazanmış yöntembilimsel ilkelerinin genel bir formülasyonunun ortaya konmasına ve bu ilkelerin, süreklilik arz eden siyasal sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesine ayrılmıştır.

In this study methodological principles of the positivist paradigm and their influence on political position-taking have been analyzed with a special focus on the cases of Auguste Comte and Émile Durkheim. In the history of political thought, the questions of how to deal with the social, how and where to obtain knowledge about the reality and how to arrange and interpret these in a systematical way of thinking -briefly the problematic of methodology- have never developed in a complete independence from political choice. Thus in order to reveal and evaluate this interrelation in the context of positivism, the study aims to determine the historical and political circumstances into which positivism was born; and to present, together with their political orientations, the methodological assertions of Comte and Durkheim, who are widely considered to be the two major founders of positivism. The final section of the study is dedicated to present a general formulation of the methodological principles which have gained continuity in the historical course of positivism and to evaluate the lasting political implications of these principles.
