?18- ÖZET Bu çalışmada, cisplatinin sıçan ince barsağımn epitel tabakasındaki absorptif, goblet ve enteroendokrin hücreleri üzeri ne etkileri morfolojik olarak incelendi. Cisplatinin, intestinal epitel hücrelerinin mitoz aktivı- tesini önemli ölçüde azalttığı, villus ve Lieberkühn krıptaların- da parçalanma ve yer yer dökülme gibi dejenerasyonlara neden ol duğu izlendi. Elektron mikroskobunda, bazı hücrelerinin apikal yüzeylerin de Tümene doğru oluşan şişme sonucu mi krovi 11 uslarda azalma ve kısal ma görülürken, bir kısım hücrede de apikal membran yırtılmaları gözlendi. Yer yer hiperkromatozik çekirdeklere rastlanması yanında, sitoplazmik organellerden endoplazma retikulumunda genişlemeler, mitokondrilerde şişme ve kristalarında bozulmalar vardı. Enteroendok rin hücrelerin salgı granüllerinde herhangi bir azalma izlenmezken, goblet hücrelerinin mukus granüllerinin azaldığı görüldü.

.19- SUMMARY In this study, the effects of cisplatin on the morphology of the absorptive, goblet and endocrine cells in the epithelial layer of the rat small intestine were investigated. It was observed that cisplatin caused a serious decrease in the mitotic activity of the intestinal epithelial cells and also it had some negative effects on the villus and the Lieber- kühn's crypts, such as causing fragmentation, degeneration and damage. Under the electron microscope, it was observed that in some of the cells, there was a decrease in the number and the length of the mikrovilli because of the bleb formation of the apical surface extending into the lumen. In some of the other cells, rupture of the apical surface was noticed. In some places, hyperchromatic nuclei were noted. In the cytoplasm, dilatations in the cisternae of the endoplasmic reti culum, swollen mitocondria as well as mitocondria with damaged cristae were seen. The secret granules of the endocrine cells did not show any decrease in number, however, a decrease in the number of the mucous granules of the goblet cells was observed.
