Özet
Bu araştırma, 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji dersindeki ?Canlılarda Üreme, Büyüme ve Gelişme? ünitesinde geçen cinsel içerikli kavram ve açıklamalara ilişkin tutumlarını incelemek ve tutumlar arasında bazı değişkenler açısından anlamlı farklılıkların olup olmadığını tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırmanın örneklemini 2010?2011 eğitim-öğretim yılında Afyonkarahisar ili merkez ilçede bulunan, Osman Atilla İlköğretim Okulu, Kocatepe İlköğretim Okulu, Kazım Özer İlköğretim Okulu ve Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak İlköğretim Okulu'nun 6. sınıflarında okuyan 306 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın alt problemlerinden elde edilen puanların gruplar arası karşılaştırmaları için, bağımsız t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır.Araştırmanın sonunda; öğrencilerin cinselliğe karşı olumlu ya da olumsuz bir tutum sergileyemedikleri, okulda bu ünitede geçen konuları öğrenmeye yönelik olumlu tutum sergiledikleri ve bu ünitenin Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde işlenmesine karşı olumsuz tutum sergiledikleri bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin cinsel içerikli kavram ve açıklamalara ilişkin tutumları arasında cinsiyet değişkenine göre erkek öğrenciler lehine ve ailenin geliri değişkenine göre 2500 TL üzeri gelir düzeyindekilerin lehine 0,05 düzeyinde anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Diğer değişkenler açısından anlamlı farklılıklar yoktur.

This research aimed to examine 6th grade primary students? attitudes and behaviours related to sexual content of the concepts which are in ?Reproductive, Growth and Development in Living Beings? unit in Science and Technology course and identify whether there were significant differences between the attitudes in terms of variables.The research group consists of 306 students studying 2010?2011 education year in Osman Atilla Primary School, Kocatepe Primary School, Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Primary School and Kazım Özer Primary School in the central district of Afyonkarahisar.Comparisons between groups for the scores obtained from the research sub-problems, the independent simple t test and one way ANOVA were used.The findings of the research revealed that students can?t show positive or negative attitude towards sexuality, they show positive attitude towards learning this unit at school and they show negative attitude towards learning this topic in Science and Technology course.Between students? attitudes concerning the sexual nature of the concepts and explanations in favor of male students according to gender and according to family income variables in favor of incomes which are 2500 TL above at 0,05 significant difference were found. There was no significant differences in terms of other variables.
