Özet
Tam dişsizliğin meydana gelmesi, beraberinde fonksiyon, fonasyon, estetik, sosyal ve psikolojik düzensizlikler gibi olumsuz faktörleri de açığa çıkarır. Dental implant tedavisinin gelişimi ve tam dişsiz ağızlara uygulanması uzun dönemde başarılı ve memnun edici sonuçlar ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Tam dişsizlikte 2 ila 9 arasında implant uygulanması ve hareketli-sabit birçok farklı protetik tedavi konsepti günümüzde tartışılmaktadır.Bu çalışmada tam dişsiz ağızlarda 2, 4, 6 ve 8 implant uygulanarak hazırlanan implant destekli sabit ve hareketli protezlerin çiğneme performansının değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla ısırma kuvvetleri, oklüzal temas sayıları, ortalama basınç ve oklüzal kontak alanları ölçümlerini yapabilen ve bir oklüzal analiz yöntemi olarak kabul edilen Dental Prescale filmler ve verilerin okunabilmesi için Occluzer FPD703 kullanılmıştır.Elde edilen verilere göre 2 ve 4 implant destekli hareketli protezlerin çiğneme etkinliği, alt ve üst tam protez uygulamasına göre daha iyi olarak saptanırken, 6 implant destekli sabit protez uygulamalarının, implant destekli hareketli protezlere göre daha üstün çiğneme etkinliği oluşturmadığı saptanmıştır. 8 implant destekli sabit protez uygulanan bireylerde yapılan ölçümlerde en yüksek değerler elde edilmiş ve çiğneme etkinliklerinin 2,4 ve 6 implant destekli protezlere göre daha iyi olduğu saptanmıştır.

Edentuloism brings along unfavorable conditions, such as; functional, esthetical, social, physcological and phonational disorders.Treatment of edantulous patients with dental implants reveals long term success in clinical results. Nowadays various treatment concepts of treating edantuloism with dental implants are being discussed and these consepts include tretment of edantuloism with 2 to 9 implants and with implant supported removable or fixed prosthesis.The aim of this study is the evaluation of bite force in edantulous patients who are treated with 2,4,6,8 dental implants and with implant supported fixed or removable prosthesis. With this aim a qualified occlusal analysis method named as Dental Prescale which can measure the bite forces, occlusal contact areas and numbers, and average occlusal pressure have been used. The parameters have been scanned with Occluzer FPD703.According to the results of the study, chewing efficiency in patients with 2 or 4 implant supported removable prosthesis is greater than the patients with conventional dentures and the patients which are treated with 6 implants supported fixed prosthesis do not have greater chewing efficiency than the patients with implant supported removable prosthesis. The greatest values have been gathered from the patients with 8 implants supported fixed prosthesis, and these patients show superior chewing efficiency than the patients treated with 2, 4 or 6 implants.
