Özet
Bu yüksek lisans tezinin amacı, ortaöğretim coğrafya öğretmenlerinin, alternatif değerlendirme metotlarından biri olan ürün seçki dosyası (portfolyo) hakkındaki görüşlerini belirlemektir.Araştırma gerçekleştirilirken, 2009-2010 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Karabük İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı liselerde görev yapan tüm (60 kişi) coğrafya öğretmenlerine ulaşılmıştır.Araştırmada öğretmenlerin portfolyoya bakış açılarını belirleyebilmek için anket formu kullanılmıştır. Anket iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm tarafımdan geliştirilmiş ve katılımcılara cinsiyetleri, en son mezun oldukları okul, mesleki deneyimleri, görev yaptıkları okullardaki sınıf mevcudu, coğrafya dersinde en çok kullandıkları ölçme araçları ve alternatif değerlendirme yöntemleri hakkındaki yeterlilikleri ile hizmet içi kurslara ihtiyaçlılık durumları sorulmuştur. Anketin ikinci bölümünde ise Serdar Gözüm (2008) ?İlköğretim 4. 5. ve 6. Sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji Derslerinde Öğretmen ve Öğrencilerinin Ürün Dosyası (Portfolyo) ve İçeriğine İlişkin Görüşleri? adlı tez çalışmasında kullanılan anket formu tarafımdan geliştirilerek kullanılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ürün dosyasının özelliklerine ilişkin sorular yöneltilmiştir. Araştırmada toplanan veriler SPSS 15.0 programında frekans (f), yüzde (%), aritmetik ortalama ( ) ve standart sapma (ss), t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.Araştırmanın bulgularına göre;1.Uygulamaya katılan coğrafya öğretmenleri tarafından alternatif değerlendirme metotlarının uygulanmasının doğru olduğu kabul edilmesine rağmen, kendi öğretim ortamlarında uygulamadıkları,2.Uygulamaya katılan coğrafya öğretmenleri arasında portfolyo kullanımının yaygın olmadığı ve öğretmenlerin, değerlendirme metodu olarak yazılı yoklamaları yüksek oranda tercih ettikleri,3.Coğrafya öğretmenlerinin coğrafya dersinde portfolyo uygulamalarına ilişkin görüşlerinin ?cinsiyet?, ?mezun oldukları okul?, ?mesleki deneyim yılı? ve ?görev yaptıkları okullardaki sınıf mevcudu? değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği ortaya çıkmıştır.Tüm bu sonuçlardan yola çıkarak tarafımdan konu ile ilgili olarak araştırmacılara ve öğretmenlere yönelik önerilere de verilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to determine secondary school geography teachers? views towards product selection file (portfolio) that is one of the alternative assessment methods. During the research all the geography teachers (60 teachers) in National Educational Directory of Karabük Province in 2009-2010 academic year.The study group of the research carried out through research model are 60 geography teachers in the province of Karabuk.A questionnaire was used in the research to determine the teachers' viewpoints of the portfolio. The questionnaire consists two sections. First section was developed by me and the graduation schools, genders, vocational experience, class sizes at their schools, the most common measurement tools in geography lessons, adequacy in alternative assessment methods and their demand on the vocational courses were investigated.In the second section of the research, a questionnaire developed by Serdar Gözüm (2008) and used in his thesis study on ?Primary 4,5 and 6th grade students? and teachers? views on Portfolio and its contents science and technology lessons?. In the second section questions towards the features of the portfolio were directed.The data collected in the study was analyzed by the SPSS 15.0 program using frequency (f), percentage (%), the arithmetic mean ( ) and standard deviation (sd), t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).According to the findings of the study;1.Although geography teachers participated in the application accept the implementation of alternative methods of assessment is correct, they do not make use of them.2.The application of portfolio assessment method is not common among the geography teachers and they prefer written exams at the high rate instead.3.Geography teachers' opinions on the implementation of a portfolio in geography lessons did not indicate a significant difference according to“gender”,“the schools”,“year of professional experience”,“duty of their schools? and ?class size, ”variables.Depending on the results of the study suggestions were also proposed by the researcher.
