Özet
Yalın üretim, İkinci Dünya savaşından sonra Taiichi Ohno'nun önderliğinde, Toyota Motor fabrikasında uygulanmaya başlayan bir sürekli iyileştirme felsefesidir. İmalat sistemindeki tüm israfları ortadan kaldırmaya odaklanmıştır. Yalın üretim sistemi, yüksek kalite, düşük maliyet ve müşteri tatmini için, çalışanların, yöneticilerin ve tedarikçilerin uyumlu bir iletişim kurabilmesini sağlar. Yalın üretim uygulamaları, imalat sistemlerinde kullanılmaktadır. Günümüzde bilgisayar teknolojisi ve bilgi çağının etkisiyle hizmet sistemleri hızla gelişmeye başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada yalın düşüncenin, hizmet sistemlerine uygulanabilirliği ve yalın üretim felsefesi ile imalat sistemlerinde elde edilen faydaların hizmet sistemlerinde sağlanabilirliği araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla Ankara Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Acil servisinde çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmalardan elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda, Değer Akışı Haritalama tekniği ile acil servisin mevcut durum haritası çıkarılmıştır. Mevcut durum haritası analiz edilerek, yalın üretim felsefesi ilkeleri doğrultusunda sisteme uyarlanabilir, gelecek durum haritası çıkarılmıştır. Mevcut ve gelecek durum haritaları karşılaştırılarak hizmet sistemlerine uygulanabilirliği değerlendirilmiştir.

After the World War II, Lean production is a continuous improving philosophy that was first applied to Toyota Motor Company under the leadership of Taiichi Ohno. It focused on driving all waste out of the production process. Lean production expects committed, empowered employess to work with committed management and suppliers to buils systems that respond to customers with ever lower costend ever higher quality. Lean practices have been used in manufacturing systems. Today, service systems have started to improve fast by the effect of computer technology and information age. This study analyzed the adaptability of lean production philosophy to service systems and the ability of achieving the benefits, which are gained in manufacturing systems by lean production philosophy, also in service systems. For this purpose, a study has been performed at the Emergency room of the Ankara Sample Education and Research Hospital. Within the framework of data obtained by this study, current status map of the emergency room has been created by DAH technical. By the analysing the current status map, a future status map is created in accordance with the principles of lean production philosophy that can be applied to the system. The adaptability of lean production philosophy to service systems has been evaluated by comparing the value streams results of the current status map and the future status map.
