Özet
Birinci Dünya savaşı bitiminde 30 Ekim 1918 tarihinde imzalanan Mondros Mütakeresi ile Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun topraklarının büyük bir bölümü, 1 Kasım 1918'den itibaren İtilaf devletlerince işgal edilmiştir. Bu dönemde yabancı işgaline karşı sesini yükselten pek çok Türk gazetesi bulunmaktadır. Tezimizin konusu olan Yeni Yozgad Gazetesi de Milli Mücadele'ye öncülük eden ve destek veren basının bir üyesi olarak savaşın başarıya ulaştırılmasını amaçlamıştır. 7 Temmuz 1921 tarihinde yayın hayatına başlayan Yeni Yozgad Gazetesi Milli Mücadele sırasında halkı bilinçlendirme ve aydınlatma misyonunu üstlenmiştir. Gazete yayımladığı makaleler ve diğer haberleri ile halkın motivasyonunu artırarak direnişe büyük destek vermiştir. Yeni Yozgad Gazetesi'nin önemi ise; gazete her zaman ulusal Kurtuluş Savaşı'ndan yana tutum sergilemesi ve her zaman TBMM'yi desteklemiş olmasıdır. Gazete cephedeki durumu birebir ve sıcağı sıcağına halka duyurarak cephe için gerekli olan yardımların toplanmasında vasıta olmuştur.Anadolu basını, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluşunda önemli görevler üstlenmiş bir basındır. Bu görevler ulusal birlik ve bütünlük ilkesinden taviz verilmeden yerine getirilmiştir. Yerel basın demokrasi anlayışının yerleşip kökleşmesine hizmet etmiştir. Basın Türk toplumunun ekonomik, siyasal, sosyal ve kültürel özelliklerini yansıtması bakımından önemlidir. Öyle ki Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun yıkılmasından sonra kurulan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti yeni bir kimlik ve farklı bir konumla dünya siyaset sahnesinde yerini alırken basın yoluyla kendisini ifade etmek, yerleşmesini, kökleşmesini sağlamak istemektedir. Dönemin tüm basın araçları gibi Yeni Yozgad Gazetesi de toplumun aynası görevini üstlenerek dönemi etkilemiş ve yönlendirmiştir.

Most of the Ottoman territories had been occupied by the Allies since 1 November 1918 together with Mondros Armistice Agreement signed on 30 October 1918 at the end of the World war. There were a lot of Turkish newspapers spoke up against the alien occupancy in this term. Yeni Yozgad Newspaper which is the subject of our thesis also aimed at succeeding the war as a member of the press leading and supporting the War of Independence. Yeni Yozgad Newspaper beginning its broadcasting life on 7 July 1921 undertook the mission of illuminating and raising the awareness of public during the War of Independence. The Newspaper gave a great support to the resistance by increasing the public motivation by publishing articles and other news. The importance of Yeni Yozgad Newspaper is that it always supported TBMM and exhibited attitude on behalf of Independence War. The Newspaper mediated to collect the necessary contributions for the front by announcing the situation of the front to the public instantaneously.The Anatolian Press is a press which undertook important duties in foundation of Republic of Turkey. These duties were performed without compromising from the principle of national unity and integrity. Local press served to settle in and take root of understanding of democracy. Press is important in terms of reflecting economic, political, social and cultural characteristics of Turkish society. It appears that the Republic of Turkey which was founded after demolishing of Ottoman Empire wants to express herself by means of media and to provide to settle in and take root while taking place in political arena of the World with a new identity and a different position. Yeni Yozgat Newspaper affected and directed the period by taking on the task of the mirror of the society as well as all of the means of the press of the period.
