Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, belirlenen çevre konuları çerçevesinde yapılan drama uygulamaları sonunda, i) fen ve teknoloji öğretmen adaylarında, yöntemin çevreye yönelik bilgi, tutum ve davranışlar üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek, ii) fen ve teknoloji öğretmen adaylarının bir öğretim yöntemi olarak dramanın, çevre bilinci oluşturmadaki etkililiği ve kullanılabilirliğine yönelik görüşlerinin ne olduğunu tespit etmektir.Bu araştırmada ön-test ve son-test kontrol gruplu desen ve karma yöntem araştırması kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2009-2010 öğretim yılı güz dönemi Gazi Üniversitesi Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında öğrenim görmekte olan deney grubu 33 (9 erkek, 24 kız) ve kontrol grubu 34 (13 erkek, 21 kız) olmak üzere toplam 67 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deney grubunda araştırmacı tarafından daha önceden hazırlanan ve çevre konularını içeren 10 haftalık (haftada 2,5 saat) drama uygulamaları yapılmıştır. Kontrol grubuna herhangi bir eğitim verilmemiştir. Araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilinci düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla, ?Çevre Bilinci Bilgi Testi (ÇBBT)?, ?Çevre Bilinci Tutum Testi (ÇBTT)? ve ?Çevre Bilinci Davranış Testi (ÇBDT)? olarak üç ayrı testten oluşan bir ?Çevre Bilinci Ölçeği (ÇBÖ)? geliştirilmiştir. Testlere ait Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayıları, bilgi testi için .70, tutum testi için .92 ve davranış testi için .83 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmada ÇBÖ deney ve kontrol gruplarına uygulama öncesi ön-test ve uygulama sonrasında son-test olarak uygulanmıştır. Drama yönteminin çevre bilinci oluşturmadaki etkililiği ve kullanılabilirliğini belirlemek için 5 yarı yapılandırılmış sorudan oluşan bir görüşme protokolü hazırlanmıştır. Bu konuda öğretmen adaylarının düşüncelerindeki değişim ve gelişimi belirlemek için uygulama öncesi ve sonrasında görüşmeler yapılmıştır.Araştırmada nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS paket programı kullanılmıştır. Nitel verilerin analizinde ise nitel araştırma tekniklerinden olan içerik analizi yönteminden yararlanılmıştır.Araştırma sonuçları drama yönteminin öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilinçleri üzerinde olumlu bir etkisinin olduğunu göstermektedir. Deney ve kontrol gruplarına ait ön ve son testler karşılaştırıldığında, deney grubunda bilgi, davranış ve ölçeğe ait toplam puanlar bakımından anlamlı fark olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kontrol grubunda ise sadece bilgi puanlarına ilişkin fark anlamlıdır. Ancak her iki grupta da tutumlardaki fark anlamlı değildir. Deney ve kontrol grupları karşılaştırıldığında bilgi, davranış ve ölçeğe ait toplam puanlar bakımından deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark olduğu bulunmuştur. Ancak tutumlar arasındaki farkın anlamlı olmadığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca araştırmada kız ve erkek öğretmen adayları arasında cinsiyete göre anlamlı farkların olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmen adayları ile yapılan ön ve son görüşmeler drama yönteminin çevre bilinci oluşturmada etkili ve kullanılabilir bir yöntem olduğunu göstermiştir. Ortaya çıkan bu bulgular ışığında bazı önerilere yer verilmiştir.

The purpose of this study, after carrying out the drama implementations involving environmental issues, i) to determine the effectiveness of the drama method on environmental knowledge, attitudes and behaviours, ii) to determine the views of prospective science and technology teachers towards the effectiveness and availabilty of the drama as a teaching method on forming environmental consciousness.In this study, pre-test and post-test control groups design and mixed methods research were used. The study was carried out with prospective science and technology teachers educated in Gazi University, The Faculty of Gazi Education, Department of Science Education in fall semester during 2009-2010 teaching session, as a group total 67 prospective teachers, which is included experimental group 33 (9 male, 24 female) and control 34 (13 male, 21 female) group. It was carried out the drama implementations for 10 weeks involving environmental issues (each 2,5 hours) prepared before by the researcher in experimental group. It was given no instruction to control group. In the study, to determine environmental consciousness levels of prospective teachers, it was improved ?Environmental Consciousness Scale (ECS)? consist of three different test which were ?Environmental Knowledge Test (EKT)?, ?Environmental Attitude Test (EAT)? and ?Environmental Behaviour Test (EBT)?. Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the tests were calculated for the knowledge test .70, for the attitude test .92 and the behaviour test .83. In the study, ECS were applied to experimental and control groups before the implementations as a pre-test and after as a post-test. It was prepared a semi-structured interview protocol to determine the effectiveness and availabilty of drama method on forming environmental consciousness. On this point, it was interwieved with prospective teachers before and after the implementations to determine changing and improvements of their views.In the study, SPSS packet programme was used for quantitative data analysis. It was utilized to the contex analysis method known qualitative research technique for the qualitative data analysis.Results of the study show that the drama method has a positive effect on environmental consciousness of prospective teachers. When the pre and post tests of experimental and control groups were compared, it was determined significant differences in experimental group for knowledge, attitude and total points of scale. In control group, only knowledge points? difference is significant. But in both groups, the improvement of attitude is no significant. When the experimental and control groups were compared, it was founded that there was a sicnificant differences between experimental and control groups for the knowledge, behaviour and total points of scale in favour of the experimental group. But it was seen that the differences of attitudes between the groups was no significant. Also in the study, according to the gender, it was determined that there was no sicnificant differences between male and female prospective teachers. Pre and post views results showed that the drama method was an effective and available method on forming environmental consciousness. In the lights of these findings, some suggestions are introduced.
