Özet
Bu araştırma, yenilenen ilköğretim programı ile daha etkin bir şekilde kullanılması önerilen portfolyo değerlendirme yönteminin, ilköğretim birinci kademedeki öğretmenlerin bu uygulama hakkındaki düşüncelerini tespit etmek ve uygulamada karşılaşılan olumlu ve olumsuz yönleri ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırma tarama modelinde olup öğretmenlerin portfolyo değerlendirme yöntemi ile ilgili bilgi ve görüşlerini belirlemek için 5'li Likert ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Veriler, 2009-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında Balıkesir il merkezinde bulunan ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan 608 sınıf öğretmeninden toplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen nicel veriler SPSS for Windows 12.0 paket programı ile çözümlenmiştir. Ölçekten elde edilen nicel verilerin analizinde t- testi, Anova, frekans ve yüzde değerleri hesaplanmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin portfolyo değerlendirme yöntemine yönelik görüşlerinin genel itibariyle olumsuz olduğu, öğretmenlerin görüşlerinin cinsiyetlerine ve mesleki kıdemlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin portfolyo değerlendirme yöntemi ile ilgili en büyük sorununun konu ile ilgili bilgi eksikliği olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenler bu bilgi eksikliğinden dolayı portfolyo değerlendirme yönteminin öğrenciye katkı sağlamadığı görüşünde birleşmişlerdir. Ayrıca portfolyo değerlendirme uygulamasının çok zaman aldığı, uygulama için fiziksel olanakların kısıtlı olduğu ve portfolyo değerlendirme yöntemini etkili bir şekilde uygulayabilmeleri içinde kapsamlı bir eğitime (teorik-uygulamalı kurslar ve seminerler) ihtiyaç duydukları tespit edilmiştir.

In this research, the portfolio assessment, recommended to be used more effectively with renewed elementary school program, the first stage of the elementary school , to determine views of teachers about the application with positive and negative sides that is appeared in the application.The research is conducted through a survey based on a 5 point Level Likert Scale that aims to investigate teachers? opinions on the portfolio evaluation method. The survey is administered in Balıkesir city centre in 2009-2010 academic year and 608 school teacher responded the survey. Quantitative data obtained from the survey was analysed with SPSS for Windows 12.0 and T-test, ANOVA, frequency and percentage values were calculated.According to results of the research, it was determined that teachers? opinions about the portfolio assessment are mainly negative, and the views of teachers do not show difference with regards to gender and professional experience of the teachers.There is common view among teachers which the biggest problem of teachers about portfolio assessment is the lack of the knowledge about the subject matter, and due to this problem, they share common view that portfollio assesment does not contribute to student . Moreover, it was determined that the practice with portfolio method takes much time, and the physical opportunities are limited, and the teachers need a comprehensive instruction (theoretical, applied courses and seminars) to apply the portfolio method effectively.
