İhracat kuruluşları, fon tedarik etmek ya da diğer kredi veren kuruluşlara garanti vermek için kurulmuşlardır. Bir ihracat kredi kurumu olan Turk Eximbank halen Türkiye'nin ihracat finansmanında bir lokomotif görevini üstlenmiştir. Çalışmalarına beş yıldan daha az bir süre önce başlamasına ragmen, Türkiye'nin ihracatının yaklaşık 30* unu finanse etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Turk Eximbank' in Türkiye ihracatındaki etkisi detaylı bir sektöre! analizle incelenmiştir. Bu etkiyi analiz ederken, regresyon tekniği kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca bazı rasyoların da yardımıyla Eximbank' in kuruluşundan önce ve sonra, Türkiye'nin uluslararası ticaretteki rekabet gücü incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, tüm ihracat sektörleri

ABSTRACT TURK EXIMBANK AND ITS IMPACT ON THE LEVEL OF TURKISH EXPORT AND STRUCTURE ÇANKAYA, Süyüm MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Cengiz Erol February, 1993, 114 pages International trade is basically financed by export credits. Export credit agencies exist to provide funds directly, to refinance or to guarantee other providers. As an export credit agency, Turk Eximbank is the prime vehicle for export financing in Türkiye. Despite having started its operations less than five years ago, it already provides support for more than 30%of Turkish exports. In this study, Turk Eximbank's impact on Türkiye's export activities is analyzed by carrying out a detailed sectoral analysis. Regression analysis technique is utilized to analyze the effectiveness of Turk Eximbank's export credits on Türkiye's exports. By the help of some ratios, competitiveness of Türkiye in international trade before and after Eximbank's existence is also examined. In the study, all the commodity groups are analyzed and it can be said that pre-shipment Keywods : Export finance, export credit agency, export credit, Turk Eximbank 111export credits given to“hides and leather products”,“chemicals”,“iron and steel products”,“motor vehicles”sectors were quite effective on Tiirkiye's exports. But this effectiveness still is not enough to boost the exports. In the medium- and long-term, Turk Eximbank can heavily affect TQrkiye's exports and can help to diversify the commodity composition of exports. iv
