Özet

Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun kuruluş ve gelişme dönemlerinde ortaya konulan her türlü gelişmeye karşılık daha sonraları dünya ile dengeli bir gelişmenin devam ettirilememesinin nedenleri ve bunun Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'ne yansımaları, Osmanlı ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihi için incelenmesi gereken bir konudur. Bu nedenlerin başında gelen eğitim ve eğitim sistemleridir. Bu dönemlerde devletlerin en önemli kurumları olan orduların eğitimleri de toplumun eğitiminin bir parçası olarak ülkelerin gelişmelerinin yansıması olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır.Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun son dönemleri ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluşunda rol alan kişilerin askeri akademik eğitimlerini (Kurmaylık Eğitimlerini) Osmanlı İmparatorluğu döneminde almış olmaları da dikkate alınarak, tezimizin konusu `Osmanlı İmparatorluğu ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nde Askeri Akademik Eğitim' olarak belirlenmiştir.Bu tezin kapsamı ise Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun duraklama dönemi ile birlikte harpleri kaybetmeye başlaması sonucu batı okullarını örnek almaya başladığı 18 nci yüzyıldan itibaren açılan askeri akademik kurumlar ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti döneminde devamı niteliğindeki kurumlar ve destekleyen kurumlardır. Bu dönem içerisinde yabancı ülkeler ile bu maksatla geliştirilen ilişkiler kapsam içinde değerlendirilecektir. Tezin başlangıcında genel bir bakış açısıyla Osmanlı Devletinde ordu ve eğitim irdelenmektedir.`Osmanlı İmparatorluğu ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nde Askeri Akademik Eğitim' konulu tez çalışmamız, eğitim ve eğitim sistemlerinin toplum hayatına etkilerini ve eğitimin topluma yayılmasının gerekliliğini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır.

Although there were improvements in all directions during the foundation and enlarging period of Ottoman Empire, it was not possible to keep the same steady improvement rhythm with the western powers. It is crucial for the history of Turkish Republic and Ottoman Empire to investigate the reasons of not being able to keep up with the western reform processes. The main reasons for this stagnation include lack of reforms in education and education systems. Training of Armies, which were the most important assets of the countries in these times, was part of the public education system and represented the development levels of countries.The subject of our thesis is `The military academic education in the Ottoman Empire and Turkish Republic?. The reason for this is that the significant figures in final years of the Ottoman Empire and during the initial years of the Turkish Republic were mostly schooled under the military education system.The scope of this thesis includes the military academic institutions opened in the time frame from the 18th century when Ottoman Empire started to take westerns military academic schools as role model in the aftermath of first loses of wars in the stabilization period and the following organization and complementary organization in Turkish Republic. The improved relations with foreign countries for this purpose in the same time frame will be evaluated in this context. At the beginning of the thesis, the education and the army of Ottoman Empire has been examined carefully in a general point of view.In this thesis study with the subject `The military academic education in the Ottoman Empire and Turkish Republic?, the aim is to clarify the necessity of spreading education to public and the effects of education and education systems to public life.
