Özet
Osmanlı Devleti`nin Doğu Akdeniz`de önemli bir adası olan Kıbrıs`ın merkezi Lefkoşa olup, üzerinde çalıştığımız sicilde Lefkoşa`daki mahkemede tutulmuştur.Çalışmamızı oluşturan Lefkoşa`nın 8 Numaralı Şer`iye Sicili H. (1110-1111), M. (1698-1699) yıllarına aittir. Dolayısıyla Şer`iye Sicili Osmanlı Padişahı II. Mustafa (1695-1703) dönemiyle ilgilidir.418 adet kayıttan oluşan Sicilde hem müslümanlarla ilgili hem de gayr-i müslimlerle ilgili hükümler bulunduğu gibi, merkezden gelen emirlerde yer almaktadır. Bu kayıtlar yardımıyla Kıbrıs`ın M. (1698-1699) tarihlerinde ki ekonomik, sosyal, askerî ve idarî yapısı hakkında önemli bilgiler elde edilmektedir.Çalışmamız, Lefkoşa`nın 8 Numaralı Sicilin yeni harflere çevrilmesi ve tahlil edilmesinden meydana gelmiştir. Tahlil yapılırken sayısal verilerden de yararlanılmıştır.Tezimiz, Kıbrısla ve Osmanlı Mahkemesi ile ilgili bilgilerden, sicilin ait olduğu yıllardaki Osmanlı Devleti`nin siyasi durumundan, sicilde geçen dava kayıtlarının sınıflandırılması ve tahlillerinden, dava kayıtlarının özetlerinden, dava kayıtlarının yeni harflere çevrilmesinden, terminolojik sözlükten, dava kayıtları ile ilgili grafiklerden, haritadan ve sicilin esasını oluşturan fotokopilerden oluşmuştur.

The Center of Cyprus an important island of Ottoman Empire on the East Mediterrannen is Nicosia and the register we are working on was also recorded at court in NicosiaThe Judical Court Register of Nicosia with number 8, which constitutes our study, dated 1110-1111 PH. 1698-1699 AD. Hence this Judical Court Register belongs to the reign of Ottoman Sultan Mustafa II (1695-1703)In this register, which is formed by 418 recordings there are not only Judgements about both muslims and other people who are not muslims, but also the orders from the stateWhe are also also well informed about economical, social, military and administrative structure of Cyprus between 1698 and 1699 with the help of these recordings.Our study is formed by the formed by the translation of The Court Register of Nicosia with number into the new alphabet and the analysis of it. While analysing, the numerical data have also been used.Our thesis consists of information about Cyprus and Ottoman Court, the political situation of the Ottoman State at the time which this register belongs to the classification and analysis of case recordings which are in the register the summary of these case recordings, translation of them into the new alphabet the dictionary of terminology, the graphics about court register, the map and the photocopies which form the basis of the register.
