Growth o-f the economies is based on transportation sector which connected the economies and sectors. Land transportation has a greater majority than the other kinds of transportation. Transportation o-f humans, and goods are being mostly by that way. Methods o-f decreasing costs and profit planning -sure major subjects of land transportation companies. Those companies sell services and service management is more difficult than product management. Here under circumstances of the sector and modern management approach, an accounting system and an example of profit plan have been developed..IX- Karayolu taşımacılık sektörü, özellik arzettiginden def terlerin kayıtlarında kullanılan hesap planı da özellik arzeder. Doğal olarak yapılan çalışmada kullanılan ve kullanılması gerekli olan hesap planına da yer verilmiştir. Diğer sektörlerde olduğu gibi, karayolu taşımacılığı yapan işletmeler de planlamasına gereken önem ve hassasiyeti göstermek zorundadırlar. Bunun için yapılması gerekenler araştırılıp uygulanmalıdır.

ABSTRACT PROFIT PLANNING IN THE LAND TRANSPORTATION COMPANIES AND A CASE STUDY Supervisor : Prof -Dr. A. Growth o-f the economies is based on transportation sector which connected the economies and sectors. Land transportation has a greater majority than the other kinds of transportation. Transportation o-f humans, and goods are being mostly by that way. Methods o-f decreasing costs and profit planning -sure major subjects of land transportation companies. Those companies sell services and service management is more difficult than product management. Here under circumstances of the sector and modern management approach, an accounting system and an example of profit plan have been developed.-XI- The problems of the firms and proposals were also investigated.lt is found that competition is an important problem of this sector. Especially transportation to the West is meant mostly empty returning and this is caused a high transportation cost. In this sector increasing of costs usually effects all the other sectors of economy as increasing prices of goods and services. Investment for new vehicles is another problem of transportation companies. High costs of old vehicles and“green transportation act”need this investment. Thirdly, accounting systems of these firms are not appropriate to the needs and analysis of modern accounting approach. In this thesis, an accounting system and profit, and budget planning model is proposed.
