194 SUMMARY This study focuses on the physical, social and economic history of Divriği as regards the years 1775-1845. Divriği, as is known was belonged to Mengücekoğulları, and was important resting place for travellers, stuated along the Harptıt, Arabkir.Zara route. The study consisting of four chapters dwells, in chapter öne, on the castle, streets, raosques, mescids, zaviyes, medreses, bazaar, hans and hamams of the city. a chapter two focuses on the executive organization, müteselling, dizdar, yeniçeri serdarı, kadı, müfti, şehir kethüdası ete Chapter three studies social strueture of Divriği, and, in this context, the muslim and zimmi populatıon in the city and, and the foundation set up for social relations and solidarity in the city. Chapter four examines the agricultural, commercial, animal-growing potential of the city and the changes in prices, especially the towns people who have made the economic life of the city.
