SUMMAEY (Tradations relating to virtue of Qur'an) MA thesis submitted to University of Ankara institute of Social Sc i ence; s Supervi sor : Presentor : Doc. Dr- MUetuba Uğur Mehmet ÖZCAN My thesis consists of four chapters excluding introduction. In the introduction I've given some considerations on the concept of fadâil (virtues), Besides, I dealt with the fedâil Ahadiths among the other fedâil hadiths. In addition to this. I have made some evaluations on method, aim and importance of the subject. Also, I introduced some verses on the virtue of Qur'an and evaluated t Item. In the first chapter, I've given some hadiths relating to the vi rtuc of Qur ' an. In the second chapter, I ' v.*. made an evaluation concerning the virtue of suras. In the third diaper, I've given some psudo (artificial) hadiths relating to virtue of Qur'an in general and suras in special. And though psuda are they some hadiths existing in the hadith's corpus arc pointed out in this chapter,, as well. Accordingly, we've fixed some motives 1 eaci men ar t i f ic iai ing hadiths. Consequently my MA thesis ends with a conclusion. 133
