Özet
Bu araştırma eğitim alanında meydana gelen çeşitli değişimler sonucunda; ölçme değerlendirme alanında da kendini yenileyen bir yapının oluşumuna ve geleneksel yöntemlerin dışında yer alan alternatif değerlendirme etkinliklerinin varlığının ve kullanılabilirliğinin hatırlatılması ve uygulanma sıklığı kazanması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, ilköğretim yedinci sınıf fen ve teknoloji dersi ?Yaşamımızdaki Elektrik? ünitesinde, alternatif değerlendirme yöntemlerinden, yapılandırılmış iletişim gridi, tanılayıcı dallanmış ağaç ve tahmin et gözlemle açıkla uygulamalarının öğrencilerin başarısına ve fene karşı tutumuna etkisi araştırılmıştır.Araştırmada öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel model kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya ait uygulamalar, 2008-2009 eğitim öğretim yılı içerisinde, Kocaeli ili İzmit ilçesinde bulunan üç ilköğretim okulunda okuyan 132 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi oluşturulurken okullar, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığının yaptığı Seviye Belirleme Sınavı'ndan alınan sonuçlara göre; üst, orta ve alt düzey olmak üzere gruplandırılmıştır. Bu gruplardan seçilen her bir okulda, çalışmaya konu olan ünite ile ilgili öğrencilerin seviyeleri ve fene karşı tutumları benzer olan sınıfları seçebilmek üzere seviye belirleme testi ve fen tutum testi uygulanmıştır. Bu uygulamalar sonucunda her düzeydeki okulda deney ve kontrol grupları seçilmiştir. Kontrol gruplarını oluşturan öğrencilere, öğretmenlerinin yaptıkları değerlendirme etkinliklerine müdahale edilmezken, deney grubuna ünite süresince hazırlanan Y.İ.G, T.D.A ve T.G.A etkinlikleri uygulanmıştır.Araştırma süresince elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 12 (Statical Package for Social Science) istatistik programı ve Excel programı kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının puanları arasında fark olup olmadığı Independent t-testi ve Anova ile kontrol edilmiştir. Araştırmada anlamlılık düzeyi 0.05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, deney grubuna uygulanan alternatif değerlendirme etkinliklerinin öğrenci başarısında ve tutumunda anlamlı düzeyde bir fark meydana getirdiği gözlenmiştir.

In the present study, we have investigated the effect of alternative assessment methods, the structural communication grids, the diagnostic tree and the prediction-observation-explanation on students? success and attitudes to science and technology course ?The electricity in our life?unit.The semi-experimental methods including pretest-posttest with control group has been used in the study. The applications belonging to research have been performed to 132 students from three primary schools in İzmit which was the district of Kocaeli in 2008-2009 academic year. While the research sample is being formed, these primary schools are classified in three levels such as; upper, middle and low according to the results of Level Determination Exam which is applied by Ministry of National Education. In each school which is selected from the groups above, the level determination exam and a science attitude test have been applied in order to determine the degree of students? level and the students? attitudes toward science so experiment and the control groups have been as a these applications. While the students who form the control groups haven?t been intervened about the evaluation activities done by their teachers, S.C.G, D.T. and P.O.E prepared have been applied to the experimental group in this study.During the evaluation of the obtained data in research, SPSS 12 (Statical Package for Social Science) statistical program and the Excel program have been used. The Independent t-test and ANOVA have been applied to check If there is a difference between the experimental and control groups? points. The level of significance as accepted as 0.05 in the research. At the end of the research, it has been observed that that the experimental group which the alternative assessment activities are applied has exbibited a significant difference about the students? achievement and attitude.
