Özet (Çeviri)

ABSTRACT Hearth and mind play an Important role in the formation of thougth and belief character in human beings. Mind and spiritual hearth are invisible to men. We know their existence through their manifestations. Our Holy Book, the Qur'an gives specific attention to these two concepts which constitute together humans' spiritual aspect. Men are called to reason with their minds; heart's contemplation, responsibility, its belief and disbelief, its being stamped, closed, sick are mentioned frequently in the Qur'an. In our research, we tried to investigate these two concepts in the Qur'an. We studied and compared them in two different parts and pointed to the importance of using these two faculties properly. According to the Qur'an, mind renders man into a human being, gives meaning to all of his actions, and makes him responsible in front of the divine orders. Mind is God's benefit to humanity. Therefore, the Qur'an calls upon people to think about and understand the esssence of the tilings and the reality of divine orders. In spite of mind's endless questioning in matters of belief, heart is distinguished with its confirmation and commitment in these matters. Belief is a matter of agreement and submission. It is heartthat knows God and feels close to Him and intuits and discovers the realities. With the power of inspiration and intuition given by God, heart çan understand and interpret the knowledge that mind and senses present. The pure reason is unable to comprehend the reality. Consequently, the Qur'an wants human beings to comprehend God's existence with the union of heart and mind. f.C YÜKSEKÖ?RETİM TXSSXM gOKÛMANTâSlfOti MliHl
